Yesterday, I had to present a development concept to the Vice President of our company. I needed to open with a overview of animation stlyes in the market place. He originally wanted it in PowerPoint...boring. I edited a montage of different animations to music. I would have normally edited in our AVID suite but it was scheduled with other clients. SO this is the first time I edited with Final Cut Pro HD. I had a very close friend who is a FCP editor help me.

VERY impressive!!! yeah i know what you mean about powerpoints... i think they're boring too. i always use macromedia flash instead of powerpoint for presentations;) that was very impressive though, and you did a good job showing different types of animations!

This is not classified as a AMV, like I stated previously it was for a presentation for the powers to be to have a better understanding of different animation styles.

There are a lot of clips from the Animatrix mainly because I had that tape on VHS where everything else was on DVD. The network where I work uses both Sony Beta SP and Sony Digi Beta to digitize into our AVID Media Composers and Final Cut Pro workstations. We had to run the DVD's through sync generators and in the time base correctors built into the Beta decks. I simply did not have enough time to rip the DVDs and transcode then into a format where AVID or FCP could use for source video clips.

The presentation was shown to the Chairman, President and Vice President of our company to show the powerful reach and different styles of animation. Since the presentation, we have been green-lighted to develop an anime series that will be produced and marketed in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines and Japan. Due to non-disclosures I can not post the trailer for the series concept we presented:-(
