Sister Red? Demon Diary? Wedding Peach?

Has anyone else checked out the manga, Sister Red?
I just got the first manga sunday night. If you don't mind references to necromancy and seeing strange deaths it is pretty cool. I really seem to like stories where the main character dies. . . .

Demon Diary, I know the name sounds bad enough, ne?
Oddly enough it is about this boy who became "Demon lord" and just doesn't get it. He is too nice, to want to pillage destroy etc. So, Eclipse his loyal servant trys to train him to be a good (bad?) Demon Lord. It is all very comical. Especially when more misfits join up with them.

Wedding peach, nothing like the previous mangas. . ?
It is written by the same person who made Sailormoon. Absolutely no nudity though. Gracias a Dios.(Thanks to God) Very cute series, for once a maho shoujo series where the girls romances actually progress every volume.

Well, if any one has any thoughts, comments, rants etc. about these. Please post!

I read the first volume of "Demon Diary" by a friend. It was a bit funny, but I didn't like it. It just found the relationships too homosexual... What is the point of having such a girly main character (he looks like a woman. no matter how you look at him.) if he's going to fall in love with another male anyway... I'm sorry if I'm being rude. But I really didn't like the book. Especially, the two short stories at the end. They were even worse. ("Crystal Heart" and this another one about a goddess or something...)

I read a bit of "Wedding Peach" but I didn't like it either! SORRY!! >o<;; it just... I didn't really like the art, and I found the story so boring...

I don't know "Sister Red".

Don't worry, I know there are people who like "demon Diary" here... I saw a topic on it quite some time ago. n_o

Reply, reply.

Ah, well if you see the supposed yaoi in it, then avoid it. I choose to ignore it, since I see them simply as comrades in arms.

Hey its okay if you don't like the same stuff I do. Thats what makes us all unique. The only reason I really liked it was because it was the first Maho-shoujo I have read/watched in which the character relationships actually progress forward rapidly. I didn't care much for the art either, too many bright colors, but thats just me. I have to be in a real good mood for cute anime.

Zats fine by me. Its by . . . *Dashss to manga stash and checks place*. . . . Comics one. And as I understand it they are just releasing some of their first mangas, kinda like Del Ray.

Demon Diary gets much better, I think.
The main chara gets warped and goes all evil on the group for a while. It was really cool. Plus the story actually gains a plot other than the "train the dunce demon lord" arc. And we get a good origin story of the Demon lord.
Ooo, I love Demon Diary~ ^^ Sure the relationship between Raenef and Eclipse might seem a little questionable at first, but by the last book there's no doubt it's more of a father/son or a brotherly relationship than anything else.

Wedding Peach is great!! I have the first chapter on my preview manga (suncoast) and read some more at my local bookstore. I love the art and the story is progressing greatly. I read some reviews on the anime series and all I hear is negitive comments, o.o well, I still like it.

About the other two manga's, I haven't read them.

I recommend checking out Wedding peach for sure. If you dislike violence, or undead stuff, avoid Sister Red, and if you can see yaoi in Demon Diary avoid it. On the other hand I find all three series to be great fun!

Wedding peach has some great twists and turns, but also (I know I've mentioned this before but it is important) it is one of the only maho-shoujo's in which the characters romances actually progress every chapter!

I've read all the books in that series, in fact, I own most of it. Raenef is sooo funny! especially when he pisses off Eclipse.. Erutis really doesn't look that much like a girl, but she does later in the story. It's always so funny, no matter how bad the situation is... ^_^ but I don't like the ending all that much, where they're all seperated.... but I did like the little sidestories at the end of the last book..

"Hmm. . . . ." *ponders this over for a second*
*you hear really creepy music*
"The medians. . . . Friend or foe?"
"Lady Scarlet. . . cursed by a deal with the devil."
"The first gens. . . who killed her."
"The ones who came after. . . . the toys of the first gens."
okay I give up . . . that isn't telling you anything.
Sister red is about a girl who gets killed and is revived by half of Lady Scarlets heart. This heart endows her with fire abilities, the only kind of abilities that can truly kill a second generation median.

First gen Medians are immortal, but second gens are not but either way 2nd gens can regenerate and therefore don't die by anything but fire.

The father of lady scarlet made a pact with the devil that she would be eternally beautiful. After the Towns people notice she hasn't aged in over 20 years, they kill her by fire. Somehow all of the townspeople are touched by the flames/ash and gain the curse, they too do not age. Lady Scarlets heart is the only thing that survives the blaze. Alice and the first gens must guard this heart from the 2nd gens. Half is in Alice and now the other half is in the main chara.
That actually doesn't spoil anything. It's all backround stuff. Kinda like kenshin's past is all common knowlege.

I would also like to point out that there is some really graphic violence and gore in this manga. There is a dead body in a chair with no head and not much in between the shoulders, you see this about 3-4 times in the same scene.

Speculation as to why it is *only* 13 and up: The characters do a lot of talking, I mean it, a lot.
