It's my friends favorite Manga. I have never seen the anime nor gotten arond to reading the manga, but he talks a bout it 24/7 so it might be good I
guess. There was something he described to me from it that I thought sounded really cool. I think it was some sort of weapon. Not sure.

Hmmm... I was unaware that this was showing on Cartoon Network.

I can tell you that the manga didn't seem half-bad, but I am uncertain about the anime. My true reasons for being here are to get information from people more familiar with the series.

This is a great series in the vein of "Flame of Recca" and "One Piece." I'm on the 10th volume in the manga and it's one of my favorite shonens.

I watched the series on and off with my son last year and its different from the manga; but, that's not a bad thing. I thought Haru Glory and Musicaa were great and I really like Elie the amnesiac girl who travels with them. It's typical shonen, with lots of battles. It was nice to see Elie fight, when most of the time the girls just sit around and watch. Elie didn't fight as much as Fuuko in "Flame of Recca," but she could still handle her tonphas fairly well.

You'd probably like it UC. ^__^

Can you tell me about anything bad in it? I'm 15 so I'm not too worried but I still like to be cautious.

This is difficult, Hope, because I haven't watched it recently and I have forgotten many things these days. *hehe* However, this is what I remember; it was very much like many fighting shows, where there was some violence, maybe some blood, but not much. There is no nudity or innuendo, although possibly a few, but I don't think there was really anything fan servicey. Altogether, a very appropriate show for your age.

Thank you very much! I'll think about picking it up than.

I enjoyed it.It's VERY similar top the manga. The only problem with it?They skipped spisode one!The episode played Saturday night occured during book two,and they even had flashbacks to episode one in there. The first episode SHOULD have been about Haru getting Rave from Shiba,an old man.And he leaves his island.

no, no, it's not skipped...it is like that in the anime, the story about haru meeting shiba is just a flashback in the later episode...just a different storyline...

I've seen half the series in Japanese already, and I haven't seen Cartoon Network's version of it. It's a good series though. It's pretty interesting, and the animation is cute. I still haven't finished the whole series yet, but I plan to. There are a lot of episodes. About 50 or so.

It's a pretty bizarre series in my opinion. More bizarre in English then in Japanese in my opinion. I will be planning on watching it though, I gotta see thae blue haired bad guy that some of the girls in the bishie thread keep talking about. ;)

I've been reading the manga. And I did see one episode of the anime.
I'm enjoying the series quite a bit.
I recently bought and read Volume 9.

As for the rating, Tokyopop has been somewhat inconsistant with Rave Master's rating on each volume. It has gone from Y to T to Y to T and then back again.

I justed watched an episode. I was pretty much disgusted on the dubs. I think they should have never brought this series to cartoon network. The dubbings are horriable!

Groove Adventure RAVE in Japan was a great hit and It should have stayed there. But please just change the dubs to subs! I can't stand the show on cartoon network.

Otherwise the series is great.

The three volumes of dvds at Tokyo Pop are rated "All Ages." Sheesh Kenchii, put a damper on it. (^_^) BTW, what company did the dubbing? Seems to good for 4KIDS, whom BTW ruined One Piece... *Ahem*

What I say talking about were the dubs.

The age rating wasn't for you Kenchii. Someone else I believe wanted to know.

The reason it is rated "All Ages" is because Tokyopop has refused to release an uncut version of the anime so far.
What is on the DVD is the same as what was shown on TV...

To be honest i've only seen about half the episodes that have shown on Cartoon Network. It doesn't look too bad for what i've seen. But it's hard to make any conclusions just yet. I'm a little on the "iffy" side b/c i'm unsure. The main compliant so far is the opening/ending theme... errr.... a little strange....
"We can talk about it, or we can Rave about it..." (i think)... Err... :)

Hi,
I just rented the DVd(don't have cable) and so far I like the series. Yeah it's weird but I love the humor in it. :) It's always good when you can watch an anime not have to worry about what's in it. Hmm, I'm also thinking about making my own Plue doll, not to mention a moogle one to go with it. :D
God Bless,
Souba

There was only one scene in the manga that I could remember. I really like it. The scene was not too bad.
