Give me a little more time to watch more eps on anime network when they come on tv. I've watched 2 of Nuku nuku, and 1 of Bastof Syndrome (which is I think Korean or maybe Chinese anime, judging by the non-Japanese names in the credits. I've watched a little of the Nadesico movie, but none of the series. First impression though...I'm leaning toward Nadesico.

Nadesico or Nuku Nuku would be what I'd go for! ^_^
They both have alot to offer!

I loved Nadesco, so I'd go with that. Has anyone seen more of BASTof? What's that one about?

Humm thanks for your responces, all of you! This is what I understand:

BASTof - a particularly new anime series (maybe about 2003) that is a Korean animation. Just licenced by ADVfilms and its making its debut apperance with Vol 1 on shelves everwhere. More coming this summer.

All Natural Purpose Cat Nuku Nuku - A anime Classic. Child-like comedy, and can be watched by all. (comedy in a FLCL, Excel Saga sense?)

Nadesico - Like its counterpart Dual!, a classic, with a great story revoloving about mechs, and teenagers.

My final thoughts: Well, a while back I was planning to buy the domestic ADVfilms Nadesico boxset. But lost interest when read numerous reviews on its casual fan-serves. But all my friends agree its good. For Nuku Nuku, I wanted to buy it because it seems to be a classic. I mean, I seen it everywhere and I can't really call myself a anime-person without watching that. It seems weird.. but I found out the jokes arnt all that funny. So my last choice was the BASTof Korean anime. Looks intersting, and love the plot. Animation is alright, the trailer is alright, I still am not sure.. though. Thanks for the help. ^.^;

I've seen a few minutes of BASTof on Anime Network, and personally, I found the animation style UGLY! I don't know if the story becomes more compelling later, but it was an immediate turn-off for me.

I'd personally go with Nadesico, the series not the movie. The series was a hoot, especially the poking fun at anime and fandom. Good combination of drama, action, and comedy.

I'd agree 100% with Liz on the fact it's a good combination of drama, action and comedy.

I've never seen BAST or Nuku, Nuku TV, but Nadesico is a classic and I think there's a really good review on it in the Anime Reviews here. I have the box set (got it at a clearance sale for $35 - well worth it) and have loaned it out. Everyone who has borrowed it has liked it.:)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I'd also suggest Nadesico. I enjoyed the series quite a lot.
