What did everyone thing of Rahxephon?
I thought it was really strange, though good i suppose. I liked the animation, very good style, music wasn't bad, and the characters were pretty developed where they needed be.

Fantastic show, though I've been a little lazy in my anime viewing of late. I last watched episode 9...it kinda confuses me a bit. But from what I hear, it all makes perfect sense at the end and turns out to be one glorious show.

There's a review for Rahxephon if anyone is interested, that Gypsy just put on the Anime review section:

Yeah, and I noticed the reviews are often pretty good, however sometimes I just like to talk about the anime with others.
The thing i love most about the reviews here is the appropriateness factor that the reviewers throw in. They include how they thing the religion is in the anime, how much fanservice/nudity there is, and if it is good for family watching.

I love the manga, and I love the character Reika. I have only read the manga, the anime I think is very good but I prefare Reika design more in the manga than in the anime.

I thought this was a real nice anime. Although it had a similar theme to Eva, it was more... optimistic in a sense. The last ep was real nice and it did for me what either ending of Eva could. Yup, after RahXephon, I turned away from being an Eva fan. I still need to watch the movie though...

The movie is basically the show squashed into two hours, but it explains some things that I don't recall being quite so clear after the series (though I did watch them a few months apart). They seem to complement each other nicely, but make less sense on their own. The movie does have one added scene that I thought was quite useless, and didn't even fit the story, but I don't recall any nudity.

I just didn't like the show. Not to get into any kind of argument, I certainly don't mind if you did like it. I thought the show was way too over-complex. Just not my thing, I suppose.
I did like the megumi character, though, and thought she was the show's only redeeming character.
I also thought it was both sad and funny that ADV translated "Ramune" as "Ramen Soda." Who would drink Ramen Soda? Does it taste like carbonated chicken broth?
OK, I'm sorry, I'm done. Please continue to enjoy the series, everyone.

I found a store that sells Ramune and I bought some just for the novelty of drinking something from an anime. It was pretty good.

Hey CDLViking, we go to a local anime store here and usually buy Ramune. It is good, but very sweet. So, if you like sweet carbonated drinks, it's a definite try.
Plus, the bottle's design is just so awesome. Its amazing how they stuck that plastic cap on the top and you would need some type of heavy machinery tool just to remove that plastic cap from the glass. *hehe* Has anyone tried to remove that cap?
Anyway, back on topic, and I haven't even read this thread, but Raxhephon is an enjoyable anime and I still have to watch the movie. The music is fantastic and I was just listening to the OST the other day.
