CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Just wondering what does everyone think of this anime?
would you recommend it? what is it about? you know...

Well first off, are you talking about the movie or the series? I thought the movie was pretty mediocre myself. I have not seen the series, but I have heard good things about it.

I saw about five minutes, including the car chase scene, when my mom came over and turned it off. ARRRRGGG! Why must I be so young?!? BTW, I liked the five minutes I saw.

Wow, you're 12, from what I know about Ghost in Shell--- well, I'd have turned it off if I were your mother.

The movie was ok... It's not really an action movie,though there are some intense action scenes... It's a philisophical movie... It was also one of the primary sources of inspiration for the Matrix.

Important things to remember: The main character was meant to be an animated sex symbol... She's rather scantily clad for most of the movie, and nude for a good portion (I'll be conservative and say 10 minutes) The action scenes that do exist are rediculously gory and very detailed... You see a head being ripped apart in perfect detail as an exploding bullet penetrates. You see a cyborg getting ripped apart as well, while it is nude... A bit disturbing, perhaps.

The Animation and art is NOT like akira... Don't let anyone fool you. What may be considered at the same level or better is the philisophical area... Oh, and it has one of the coolest martial arts scenes in any movie, matrix included... Definately not for the kiddies or anyone sensitive to nudity or gore...
