Why can't I make a new thread in this forum?

Wondering why you can't post new threads here?

The Anime Reviews forum is used for discussion of reviews in our CAA database which have been pre-screened and evaluated by the moderation and administration staff before posting them for general use. *All reviews must be checked before they are released.*

Why check them? There are many viewers, many series, and many ways a series can be seen by those viewers. We want to make sure that reviews that we state are the official policy of CAA are in line with the moral and spiritual guidelines we profess, and that the age-appropriateness of a particular series is proper.

Feel free to discuss a review here, and most reviews will have threads for discussion. If you want to create a *new* review, follow this link:

http://www.christiananime.net/forums/reviews.php

Make sure to follow the directions, and observe all disclaimers.

Questions? Please PM an administrator or moderator.

I would just like a few words to this thread. It may be easily overlooked, but as Shooraijin mentioned above, there are directions to writing a review. Now, the form itself is pretty self-explanatory, so I'm afraid the directions may get overlooked from time to time. So, here they are:

Hello, registered member! Please fill out the form below and press "Submit for Approval." Please remember that all forum rules apply here, and that mods/admins are volunteers. We have lives, and may not get to this immediately. Also note that submitting this form will not automatically update the main reviews database; all submissions are subject to mod approval. Once your submission has been reviewed, you will be PM'd with our decision. Also, do not post any copyrighted materials here. By submitting a review to this system, you are stating that this is your own original work.

I'd also like to point out that reviews with good grammar and spelling will probably get approved faster than not. Reviews that I have to do less work on ... well, they take less time to be approved. I'm not saying that it has to be perfect - goodness knows an honest typo is no bad thing ;) . However, I really must insist on complete sentences. As harsh as this may sound, we do reserve the right not to use your review, and a polite PM inquiring as to why it's not up yet will work a lot better than complaining in an obscure thread.
