Depends on how old you are. But I'd say stay away from ranma 1/2 which as full torsal nudity for no reason. Also I'd stay away from chobits just because of where Chis on/off switch is. Inuyasha is just way to occultic for me. I'd say if you want a safe anime go with CCS or .Hack//SIGN. Big O is good to.

We've closed these "bad anime" threads before because they have potential to incite debate [one says it's bad, another says it's not, confusion and bickering ensue, etc.]. This is the very reason that we have review requests and a "Good Anime" thread. If you have a question about a certain series, feel free to ask. If you're looking for good anime, head to the stickied "Good Anime" [Family Friendly] thread.

also, i just want to suggest, that i think ashley has made a thread called "titles that we don't want you to discuss" which would be pretty good because it shows titles that contain sacriligious things and other stuff.

That's a good suggestion, Royal.

Also, if there are any series you were curious about, you can see if it's in the Review Database, and that should help some.

i just thought of other things: it is always good to visit many shrines and websites dedicated to certain series you are interested about. for example, you go to http://www.anipike.com and search for it, or you just type it in google, or like mr. shiroi hikari just suggested it would be good to check out the reviews forum. myself, i always look extensively on fan sites and the such, and even look into spoilers to see if it is a series that at the beginning, it's good, but as you go through it it starts to contain questionable things. (in my case i have to absolutely MAKE SURE i like what i'm buying, because books are expensive and my "budget" is limited).~ HAPPY EXPLORING!~ ^v^

The down side to fan sites and whatnot are the ones that don't accurately represent the series.... people have done this before and call some series henti when they aren't, the idea is gotten from henti fan art that is done (some of which can be as high a quality artwork as the original authors).

Just a heads up for those who aren't aware that such sites don't always represent the original media.
