I rented the movie because I liked the cover. I enjoyed it. Don't know if I would buy it though...

Yes, I did watch this movie, and couldn't tell whether I liked it or not. I do think that the art was amazing, the movie was entirely well done, but yet that closing line she speaks stayed with me... so much so that what she said is nearly all that I can remember. I assume that it was the point of the movie. I don't ever remember the spoiler code when I need it, so I just will assume that some of you know what I'm talking about. I just like the idea of pursuing something that has meaning. Besides that, it was a beautiful movie, and a good review Kenchii.

Yeah, the lsat line as a little bit of a "huh" moment, but once I thoroughly thought it through-- I decided I liked it. But it did take quite a while to decide.

I thought the movie was a fascinating, movie-within-movie, repeating-themes-of-life exploration with quite a few nice twists. I enjoyed the creativity, the quality of the artwork, and the talent of the Japanese voice actors. I saw it widescreen at Otakon, and recently ordered the DVD. Highly recommended.
