My Last Day

I saw this and truly thought it was professionally done. It's a short anime film on the death of Jesus and (besides a change of dialogue , which while different, does go by what the bible says somewhat, also a bit of the voice acting is off) I think it really good to glimpsing what we can see from a good quality christian anime if it ever comes to surface. Here it is:

My Last Day (English)

It's done by Studio 4c, the Company apparently behind the Animatrix, Genius Party, and several other short film based animes. It was commissioned by the Jesus Project.

I think personally good christian anime can get put out there if we put our minds to it, I understand this might have been just outsourced to Studio4c for animation purposes, or maybe they storyboarded the whole thing who knows. But It shows that if one wished too one can create great Christ-centered work

What do you guys think?

For the most part, really well done. Looks promising, but some parts are a little bit "tropish" or dramatic, if that makes any sense. I'm a little surprised at the quality of it, granted it is from a professional studio to begin with.

And also, I like the fact that they were pretty historically factual with the nails going through the wrists instead of the palms.

one of the other things I liked is, if you notice right after they nailed the theif's feet, he had trouble breathing. Also, after they broke his legs, he ended up Suffocating. Suffocation was a common death in crucifixion. So it was neat to see that they were faithful in showing that in the anime.

To be honest I hope they make more short films. We can probably name a few bible stories that be great with such good quality behind them.

Its so good it deserves TWO threads!..

On a second though I'll take that statement back since that would mean A LOT of threads would get duplicated..
