I just bought the movie Millenium Actress a few days ago ago and fell in love with it. Anyone here seen it?

I can't say I've watched it; but I have seen it at our video place a while ago but didn't know if it was any good or not, passed it up and forgot about it. Since then, one of the Mangazine artists at Anime Angels brought it up and recommended it for a PG audience. I still haven't seen it, though, and keep forgetting about it. I don't even know if it's still at our rental place here or not...

Oh man, how I loved this movie... I don't even think I could start. I'll put it this way: it rivals ANYTHING Miyazaki has ever put out. Except maybe Porco Rosso.

It's definately one of my favourites. Da Rabid Duckie's right too, it is definately on par with Miyazaki's work.

What?!?!?! I just checked amazon! Another anime only purchasable on Region 1! Thanks a lot oh wonderful distributing companys for once again acting as if England does not exist! <---------------SARCASM *walks off seathing with rage*

Whoah! I just watched this one the other night, and I really thought it great! The freakin'...bittersweet overtones of the whole thing just kinda hit me squarely, but I still thought it to be a nice movie. The antics of the interviewer and his cameraman I always thought to be pretty amusing, and it's amazing how the director's style changed from "Perfect Blue" (never saw it, but those who have always shudder when they talk to me about it). I'm picky about buying movies, so I'm not gonna own this one...but I still thought it great.

This movie is my FAVORITE anime movie of all time, and one of my favorite overall movies as well.
This is a movie I actually got my mom to watch and SHE even enjoyed it. That in itself is something.

Cool. I haven't seen the movie, but based on the description I don't think it merits a "6" in the bad religion category... but that's just my opinion. I'll probably buy this movie once I've bought and recovered from all the other stuff on my "to buy" list. ^_^
