Cyborg 009 gets a remake

Postby Roy Mustang » Wed Sep 29, 2010 6:52 pm

Production I.G. have apparently been commissioned to create exactly four minutes and forty-five seconds worth of magnificent high-def CG starring 009 and his other cyborg friends. Helming the project is Mamoru Oshii, the man behind the Ghost in the Shell movies and Sky Crawlers and Kenji Kawai will also be composing the music.

That is great. It would be better if it was four episode each forty-five minutes long.

Um, hasn't the show already been remade once? Just wondering.

It's been remade plenty of times. But Roy's post says four MINUTES and forty-five SECONDS. That's...not very long. XD

Yes it has as in 2001, but I don't count that one, because it was crap!

I picked up Cyborg 009 at Family Dollar for $3 last year. I wonder what version I wound up with --what I saw wasn't terrible. I liked it. :)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

The first 15 or so episodes were pretty good, but it was all downhill from there. Trust me. I watched the entire thing. I wouldn't recommend anyone else do the same.

I really liked the ending to the 2001 version... I wonder if I can find it...(Genesis of Next? was that the name of it?)

Anyway, why only 4 minutes and forty-five seconds? Is is just a promo?

I do not know if it is a promo. If it is a test for a full length movie or some thing that would be cool.
