You know you've been reading or watching too much Hetalia when...

1. You start laughing hysterically at maps
2. You go "Aww" when you see two or more flags together
3. You've learned more history (Austria-Hungary Compromise, WWII) from it than from an actual history class
4. You debate about details like whether the number on America's back is supposed to be 50 or 96...with supporting screenshots
5. You watch APH MADs (Music videos/parodies)
6. You got a Nico Nico Douga account despite not knowing a single word of Japanese so you could watch even more APH MADs.
7. You dress up in a scarf and party hat and sit behind a receptionist's desk for Halloween.
8. World War II starts sounding romantic.
9. Your teacher asks why you put "Alfred F. Jones" as the answer instead of America, and why you drew a small heart and the name "Arthur" beside it.
10. You yell "Yeah, he's the hero!" whenever someone says America.
11. You misread UK as UKE every single time, and have started mispronouncing it in actual conversation.
12. You know every country's flag and location, and people think you must be a huge history nerd, and really, you've become one.
13. You shudder every time you hear the name "Russia" or "Ivan" and quickly glance over your shoulder...just in case.
14. Whenever you see a fellow Hetalia fan, you shout, "Germaaaannnnyyyyy!" down the hallway.
15. You write down your favorite pairings all over your history lecture notes, leaving others to wonder what "USxUK" means.
16. You end every sentence with "aru."
17. You scream 'paaaaaaaaaastaaaaaaaaaaa' every time you happen to have some.
18. You can't imagine a functioning Italian mafia.
19. You want Prussia back on the map.
20. You can no longer say "international affairs" with a straight face.
21. No one can mention a country without you thinking about what they look like in Hetalia.
22. You read a historical book and think it would make a good fanfic.
23. Other people don't get it when you say your country's cute.
24. You've listened to Romano's Delicious Tomato Song like...80 billion times.
25. You're a duke/duchess of Sealand.
26. You've become a thousand times more patriotic
27. You remember Canada Day BEFORE the 4th of July, as in, you completely forget about America's birthday. (and you're American)
28. You want to learn every single language in the world. Even the weird ones.
28. You recognize which flag belongs to which country, while everyone just looks at you funny.
29. Everyone who's named Alfred, Arthur, Peter, Matthew, and Francis is forever linked to Hetalia.

I so want to do 25. I remember looking up how to become one as soon as I saw it in Hetalia.

24, 17, and 3 are true for me. Kind of 21, maybe 26. XD;

However, I do have to say that I think 9 and 15 are inappropriate for this site, considering this is a Christian Bible-based site and homosexuality is not supported...

I weep, I weep. Before I dedicated myself to the study of history for pleasure. Now I study it for a reason. I must work hard to educate.

Prussia is on the map.

It's called Germany.

I've been watching too much Hetalia and none of these things apply to me. :<
(which I consider great, actually, especially in the cases of the yaoi references you seem to have included on your list. Someone has been reading too many fanfics.)

And 14 does not make sense; explain.

Oooh! Ooh! I have a list of these too! I will post them! Wait. Just kidding. The list is a list of how you know you're watching Hetalia. Not how you know you're watching too much Hetalia.

Made one up on the spot.

1. You giggle whenever anyone mentions Spain, and then mention something about floofy hair (I love drawing Spain's hair!)
2. You have a newfound appreciation for random foods. Like pasta. And tomatoes.
3. When pressed for a scary evil laugh, you say "KOL KOL KOL" even though Russia totally freaks you out.
4. You doodle Hetalia characters on your history notes. (I have a very interesting conversation between Vexen from Kingdom Hearts and Russia going on)
5. You cower in terror whenever someone mentions the names of the countries of your least favorite pairings in the same sentence. (I won't mention mine, as they would probably start an argument)
6. When everytime someone says 'Canada' you say 'who?' just as a joke.
7. Um... you go on rants about how obnoxious Germany is to draw? (because he is)
8. What else do I do...hrm... Oh yeah! I also yell "PAAAAASTAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Okay, my plan to make a list as long as the first one failed. And it also occured to me that I don't really like the only two countries whose languages I can fluently speak. And that I LOVE with the country whose language I failed at learning and can kind of half-speak. Odd.

P.S. Agreed about taking the stuff about USUK off there. You'll make me cower in the corner!

It's an anime where you have anthropormorphized versions of the countries of the world interacting in fairly historically accurate ways. And there are bishies. Therefore you should watch it.

I should warn you though AnimeGirl: It is rated TVMA on Funimation. From what I've been told it does get a bit...er racy later on. At least, so I've heard......

Basically Atria's explaination. It's a good idea, I just wish some parts of it were...well, eliminated. It would be better without some things. This can be avoided by simply not watching certain episodes, since they're only five minutes long.

Also, the Hetalia fandoms can be really scary places at times...

Is there anyway to find out which episodes not to watch before you stumble upon them? I just started watching Hetalia this week (only 3 episodes in), and I'd like to stay away from the really weird aspects of the show as much as possible. Though the best way to do that might be to avoid the show...but I'm too curious about it to drop it.

Not without asking someone else who's seen it. And I would do so, because it's waaaay to good to drop!

Well, if you can find a list of episode summaries, it's pretty obvious which ones you'll want to skip. If you watch it on funimation.com, it gives you a little summary off to the side, and that can help immensely!
