gb2school anime 2010 (FALL)

Much like the threads before it, this is a thread I created for the discussion of new anime that will be airing on TV in Japan in the Fall 2010 season. Anime typically gets released and runs for a number of seasons. The year is divided up into four seasons: January to March is winter, April to June is spring, July to September is summer, and October to December is fall. Each season is approximately 13 weeks.
Here, we can talk about what shows look interesting, what we plan to watch, and generally get giddy and excited for things that we've been anticipating for a while. There's a handy chart of all the shows that are coming up, with a short blurb about the premise of the show and what studio will be handling it. As we get closer to the season, more information shows up, like the first airing date. Other information like staff and cast obviously won't fit, but it's not too hard to use the Google to find out.
Here's the chart. Pretty awesome, right? Welp, that's unfortunate, because it's fake and the guy who does the charts hasn't done one yet, even though it's about that time of month. For the real list of shows, I refer to fansubwiki and moetron and this chart by someone who's having their first go at it.
BEGIN LIST
Iron Man is the anime version of Iron Man, by Madhouse.
Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto is BONES' next big thing. It's original, it's mecha, and it's probably got a lot of money behind it, since it's going into the 5pm Sunday slot that used to house Gundam, Geass, and FMA.
Otome Youkai Zakuro is about soldiers living with fox-girls in Meiji Japan. Uh, yeah.
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru is the next SHAFT show, about a girl working at a maid cafe who wants to become a detective.
Kuragehime is Brains Base's next show, featuring fujoshi and traps.
The World God Only Knows is about a guy who is known as the god of h-games on the internets. Hilarity ensues when a devil approaches him, based on his reputation, to make real girls fall in love with him to get spirits that are hiding in their hearts out of them or something.
Togainu no Chi is about some gang stuff in a dark, futuristic Tokyo and is an adaptation of the BL game by Nitro+.
MM! is about a guy who finds out he is into masochism.
Hyakka Ryoran Samurai Girls is about a bunch of girls who are the student council at a military academy, what.
Yosuga no Sora is based on a visual novel; main story is about twincest.
Tantei Opera Milky Holmes; I have no idea.
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai is about a guy who finds out his sister is secretly the bad kind of otaku.
Sora no Otoshimono is getting a second season.
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is the newest Gainax show, and despite the weird title, it looks like it's going to be a pretty neat, over-the-top action show. It has the staff of Gurren Lagann behind it and the aesthetic seems Powerpuff Girls-esque.
To-LOVE-Ru is also getting a second season; don't ask me why.
Fortune Arterial is a name that sounds familiar, but I can't remember why.
Tegami Bachi is getting a second season, so I bet there'll be a bunch of you pleased with that.
Hakouki is getting a second season; meh.
A Certain Magical Index is getting a second infodump.
Bakuman is about two high schoolers trying to become the most popular serialized manga-ka in Weekly Shounen Jump. Offers an extensive look into the process behind manga, from conception to serialization. Really good.
Arakawa Under the Bridge, also with a second season.
Psychic Detective Yakumo looks like it's going to be a Bee Train anime that's not about spies.
Shinryaku! Ika Musume is about a squid girl who wants to take revenge on humanity for polluting the ocean.
Super Robot Wars is getting another anime!
I sure am wishing that fantasy preview chart was real right about now.
