Who do you think are the biggest jerks in all of anime? Here's who I nominate (note: you don't have to be evil to be a jerk, so let's not limit ourselves to villains.)

Genma Saotome
Legato Bluesummers

Hey! Genma was an alright guy! Tough love with his son, pretty traditional, but an alright guy. Definitely not as big of a D-Bag as the rest of the guys on that list. I nominate their teacher Happosai instead. Or heck, with the way he treated Akane, I'd nominate Ranma himself first.

On the basis of simply being jerks rather than evil, I would like to nominate:

Haruhi
Yui from FushigiYugi (Crap, this is turning into an all girls list. Quick! Gotta think of some guys!)
Uhhh... Orochimaru. Yeah, he was evil, but mostly he was just a whiny selfish punk. I like that eventually it's revealed that all the evil guys (who are more evil by the way) totally think he's just a weaksauce dweeb.
Mei Lin from Card Captor Sakura (Crap! Another girl! They're gonna start to think I'm sexist or something. >.> <.<)
Uhm. Ahm... Uhh... (Gonna need a lot of guys to catch up from this) I nominate the whole freaking Karate Club from Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple! (whew)

Shishio- from Rurouni Kenshin- Yah, maaajor jerk. For those of you who've watched him, you know why.

Knives from Trigun- Similar reason haha...

Diva- From Blood+ *shiver*

Sasuke-from Naruto
Akito-Fruits Basket (Only in the anime though)
Lady Jaguara-Wolf's Rain
Kira-Death Note

Hikaru-from Hikaru no Go (but he became nicer at the end )

Ochi-also from Hikaru no Go (He is the Seed of Chuckie I'm telling you)

Azula-Avatar: The Last Airbender (evil and a jerk at the same time)

Yeah... Azula isn't evil. She's just a jerk.

- Gendo Ikari (The classic anime jerk.)
- Light Yagami (The new classic anime jerk for the 21st Century.)
- Holland Novak (At least he improves after a point. BUT STILL.)
- Gihren Zabi from Mobile Suit Gundam (Okay, more straight-up evil than a jerk, but yeah.)
- Prince Sincline from Go-Lion (Treacherous, petty, immature, conniving, selfish little so-and-so...)
- Quess Paraya from Char's Counterattack.
- Zu Zambazil from Voltes V.
- Those freaking Lobelia chicks from Ouran. UGH.

Azula from avatar is a good one. She is crazy. @____@;;

Sae from Peach Girls (She made me want to tear every page of the manga with her in it xDDD;)

Madoka from Full Moon (she made me want to jump into the monitor and pull er hair out.. then punch her X_X)

Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo, but she was more of a prankster xDDD;

Shana - Shakugan No Shana (She was kind of a jerk, but I haven't been watching the anime for a while and she is my favorite character though. Which reminds me I got to watch that again)

Hey, at least Vegeta was a likeable jerk. Chi Chi, however, is thoroughly unlikeable.

Villains are supposed to be jerks, so to me, they don't count.

Shana flip-flops from tolerable to just plain jerk, but I guess that depends on who's doing the episode's script. The biggest jerk for me is Sanzo (Saiyuki). Okay, he's supposed to be an anti-hero, but he's just plain unlikeable in my eyes.

C'mon guys, Gendo Ikari wasn't THAT big of a jerk

I will third the Lobelia girls from Ouran, their debut was definitly my least favorite episode.

Saito Hajime from Rurouni Kenshin. It takes talent to manage to be in my favorite three characters of Kenshin, and still be on this list.

Touji from Evangelion was a pretty big one at first. He got better, though.

Gendo Ikari is a jerk to even his own son. Perhaps one of the biggest jerks in all anime.

Kyou from Clannad. She was just a bit of a jerk for no reason. I found her irritating.

I think I'll list Ritsuko and her mother from NGE on here as well.

Don't forget about the dude with the big forehead in Gurren Lagann.

Takefumi Tonami - "His and Her Circumstances": His character doesn't really sit well with me--especially when he threatens Yukino and Arima's relationship.[/color][/SIZE][/font]

I found Yotsuya from Maison Ikkoku hilarious but pretty much a jerk, so is that other guy from the same anime who's rich and competes with Yusaku for Kyoko...forgot his name

Also, Envy from FMA was a huge jerk in my mind.

That's what I read at first, and I was wondering what you were smoking. I had to go back and read it when you said, "...their teacher Happosai."


As for Gendo, yes... He is a big jerk.

My most loathed anime character of all time is Big Sis from Now and Then, Here and There. Moreso than the actual bad guy of the series who is really 1 dimensional meant only to shock. Big sis is responsible for many of the deaths and much of the heartache because she wouldn't let that cancerous tumor that is Hamdo be cut off. Good guys who are enablers for bad guys bug me way more than bad guys ever could. And, yes, she is a jerk. To people on her own side who are trying to take Hamdo down.

Akira Kogami (but I love Lucky Channel, though... Mostly because of [spoiler]Minoru Shiraishi's Limit break at the end...[/spoiler])
Haruka and Michiru from Sailormoon S (they get better... sort of)
Bulma. She did grow on me eventually, though. In the original series, anyhow.
Grandma Sonozaki... My WORD is she terrible. Especially to her unwanted Grandchild...
Half the cast on Umineko No Naku Koro ni... Well, all of the witches, Kenzo, Eva, Rosa...

There are too many to think about. It seems animes always have "the jerks".
