Favorite seiyuu/voice actors

I don't know about anyone else here, but I very often find myself getting into an anime because it has a favorite seiyuu or voice actor in the cast. (My most notable example of this would be watching Death Note because it had two of my favorite voices from Ouran High School Host Club in it. Kyouya as a psychotic, obsessively loyal pawn? Tamaki as a chillingly sinister mass murderer? This I HAVE to see! Erm...hear.) Can anyone else relate? Who are your favorite seiyuu and voice actors?
Here's a few of mine, in no particular order, and I will probably add to this once a few more come to mind...
Seiyuu:
Miyano Mamoru - Light Yagami (Death Note) Tamaki Suoh (Ouran) Ling Yao (FMA: Brotherhood) Kiba (Wolf's Rain) Zero (Vampire Knight) Kamui (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle: Tokyo Revelations)
Masaya Matsukaze - Mikami Teru (Death Note) Kyouya Ootori (Ouran) Minamoto Raiko (Tactics)
Kenta Miyake - Orland (Pumpkin Scissors) Tsume (Wolf's Rain) Tsuna (Otogi Zoshi) Scar (FMA: Brotherhood)
Romi Park - Ed Elric (FMA and FMA: Brotherhood) Heimdall (Loki Ragnarok) Yuujiro Shihoudani (Princess Princess) Katsushiro (Samurai 7)
Maaya Sakamoto - Hitomi (Escaflowne) Haruhi Fujioka (Ouran) Takada Kiyomi (Death Note) Hamona (Wolf's Rain)
Jun Fukuyama - Watanuki (xxxHolic) Kazuki (Busou Renkin) Tooru Kouno (Princess Princess) Aidou (Vampire Knight) Lawrence (Spice and Wolf)
Yuji Ueda - Sagara Sanosuke (Rurouni Kenshin) Adashino (Mushishi) Makoto Takei (Fruits Basket)
Daisuke Namikawa - Fai Flourite (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles) To Eigetsu (Saiunkoko Monogatari)
Sanae Kobayashi - Allen Walker (D. Gray Man) Akira Touya (Hikaru no Go)
Seki Tomokazu - Kyo (Fruits Basket) Ogata (Angelic Layer) Vaan (Escaflowne) Ryuuki (Saiunkoku Monogatari)
Voice Actors:
Vic Mignogna - Ed Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist) Tamaki Suoh (Ouran) Dark (DNAngel) Fai D. Flourite (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles)
J. Michael Tatum - Kyouya (Ouran) Komui (D. Gray Man) Seishiro (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles) Doumeki (xxxHolic) Jirou (Black Blood Brothers) Age (Heroic Age)
Luci Christian - Hunny (Ouran) Duck (Princess Tutu) Lenalee (D. Gray Man) Wrath (FMA) Risa Harada (DNAngel)
Caitlin Glass - Haruhi (Ouran) Winry (FMA)
Jerry Jewell - Kyo (Fruits Basket) Barry the Chopper (FMA) Claire Stanfield (Baccano!) Jimmy Kudo (Detective Conan)
Jason Liebrecht - Alphonse Heidrich (FMA movie) Syaoran (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles) Luck Gandor (Baccano!) Lavi and Millenium Earl (D. Gray Man)
Greg Ayres - Kaoru (Ouran) Satoshi (DNAngel) Heimdall (Loki Ragnarok)
Todd Haberkorn - Hikaru (Ouran) Allen Walker (D Gray Man) Watanuki (xxxHolic)
Wow, I said "a few" but I got on a roll and realized that I have a whole bunch of favorites!!

Why yes, I do have a fairly long list of VAs that I watch out for (but not necessarily favourites).
Norio Wakamoto is the man. ALL HAIL BRITANNIA and HELLO EVERYNYAN? No contest.
Ono Daisuke is a cool guy. Itsuki ┐(´~`;)┌, Hosaka, and Battler, hells yeah.
Fujiwara Kei is also pretty magnificent. Holland, PRINCE ALI Al-Saachez, and Date PUT YOUR GUNS ON Masamune.
Nana Mizuki for singing ETERNAL BLAZE and being Fate Testarossa.
Koshimizu Ami is fantastic. Horo, Anemone, and Rosa BEST MOM IN THE WORLD Ushiromiya.
Maaya Sakamoto is pretty awesome, but I love her for being Ryougi Shiki.
Saito Chiwa got put on the map for me because of Senjougahara Hitagi, but apparently, she's also been Otonashi Meru (メルメル) and Granzchesta Aika.
Nakajima Megumi will be closely followed for her excellent Ranka Lee (ノゝ∀・)~キラ☆.
Tomatsu Haruka similarly gets on this list for her Nagi and MADA MADA JIMI DA NE.
Sawashiro Miyuki is pretty great for being able to do really different roles like Kurenai Shinkuro, Maria Tarou Sekiutsu, and the Dorm Leader from Maria+Holic.
Tamura Yukari gets a special place for being Nanoha, Rika/Bernkastel, and Nakahara Mai.
Itou Shizuka gets in for H-I-N-A HINAGIKU and singing Cruel Angel's Thesis in Hayate the Combat Butler!!.
Hiroshi Kamiya is actually in a lot of stuff, but he usually carries a tinge of his ZETSUBOUSHITA.
Katsuyuki Konishi reminds you to believe in you who believes in yourself.
Sugita Tomokazu can be a sarcastic guy. Kyon, Aizawa Yuuichi, Bronove.
Fukuyama Jun commands you in the name of Lelouch vi Britannia. Also Lawrence Craft.
Yui Horie uu uu hau au au uguu.
Kobayashi Yuu has a pretty decent range and can do things like be Kimura Kaere and guys.
Marina Inoue plays a lot of high energy girls, like Ushiromiya Jessica, Minami Kana, and Yoko Littner.
Minori Chihara is great, being Yuki and Minami Chiaki and all.
Mamoru Miyano is pretty cool. Can't go wrong with Death the Kid and Light.
But what about VAs I'm not so fond of?
Hirano Aya is actually really good as Haruhi and Konata. Unfortunately, she's terrible in every other single role.
Kugimiya Rie is fine whenever she isn't doing her URUSAI URUSAI URUSAI BAKA INU IT'S ALL THE SAME voice. Unfortunately, that isn't a lot.
Mamiko Noto seems like she can only do one voice: whisper quiet. I sure got a scare when the rumour was that she was playing Lambdadelta.
Omigawa Chiaki is new, but was pretty awful as Maka Albarn, especially early on.

Women: Paku Romi, Hirano Aya
Men: Miyano Mamoru, Kiuchi Hidenobu, Fukuyama Jun
Not really interested in anyone else; for other seiyuu, I like the roles they play but not really their acting or voices.

Hirano Aya is actually really good as Haruhi and Konata. Unfortunately, she's terrible in every other single role.
I second ALL of those. I also must add:
Seiyuu
Tomoguchi Megumi is ONE KILLER REVY, ONE AWESOME WINRY, and ONE SWEET MIRANDA.
Mitsuishi Kotono. She's Excel and Mink. What more could you ask for? (She's a brilliant Kagura as well.)
Watanabe Naoko plays Miyu, Guu, and Chi-Chi. And she's good at it.
Konishi Katsuyuki will BURST THROUGH THE HEAVENS WITH A DRILL, as he is Kamina. As well as USA-America, and Hagi.
Sugiyama Noriaki is otherwise known as Sasuke. And England.
Yamazaki Vanilla. She is the only person who can easily play a depressed bunny.
Voice Actors
Chris Patton. He's the best, even though he's in EVERY SINGLE ANIME BY ADV FILMS OR FUNIMATION. But his Sosuke and Fakir (among others) are top-notch.

\o/ Seiyuu~!
KENN: Kazu in Air Gear, some kid in Yuugioh DX, Dino in Reborn
Paku Romi: I actually adore her for her earlier stuff, like Tao Ren in Shaman King and Ichijouji Ken in Digimon 02. *w* And Heimdall, of course.
Ichinose Hidekazu: Gokudera in Reborn. It's way too endearing to watch him on ReboRaji.
Kaida Yuki: China in Hetalia. <3 <3 <3 And Fuji in TeniPuri.
Suzumura Kenichi: Lavi in D.Gray-man and Okita in Gintama. He's way too funny when he's doing the dead-pan.
And yeah, going to say Miyano Mamoru again because not only is he Death the Kid and Light, he was pretty nifty in TeniMyu.

Miyano Mamoru - Light Yagami (Death Note) Kiba (Wolf's Rain)
I don't know who's voice it is... but I love Kakashi's voice in Naruto!

About Romi Park, the only role of hers that came to mind was Ed, but after looking her up, it's interesting that she's somehow managed to do a lot of roles that don't come to mind, like Hitsugaya and Regene Regetta. It's strange because when I hear them, I can definitely pick out that it's her, like Popo in Kaiba, Uesegi Kenshin in Sengoku Basara, or Abe in Spice and Wolf II.
And it's a grave error on my part to have forgotten about Inoue 17 years old Kikuko. Furukawa Sanae and Grace O'Connor were great, which makes me super glad that she's playing Virgilia. She's got both kind and motherly down as well as insane and evil.

Wakamoto Norio: owns your face.
Tomokazu Seki: is the man.
Furuya Tohru: voices everybody and their grandmother, including Tuxedo Mask, Amuro Ray, Seiya from Saint Seiya.
Ikeda Shuuichi: is Char Aznable. Also he's going to be in Gundam Unicorn as Full Frontal. Exdee.
Suzuoki Hirotaka: Rest in peace.
Nojima Hirofumi: Haven't seen him in much but I really liked him as Gainer from Overman King Gainer.
Okay, so I don't really watch English dubs but I always liked Brian Drummond's version of Vegeta, and he did a good job as Zechs. Also, Sean Schemmel's Goku is over 9000 times better than the original Japanese voice. Steve Blum is good but he's in everything so I'm kind of tired of hearing him. Ooh, don't forget David Hayter.

Always liked
Willow Johnson (Kasumi, Ranma 1/2)
Kelly Sheridan (Ukyoo, Ranma 1/2)
Juliet Cesario (Miyuki, You're Under Arrest!)
Ted Cole (Keaton, Master Keaton; Kuno Tatewaki, Ranma 1/2)
... heck, I'll just throw in most of the Ranma dub cast with a few exceptions
Steve Blum (Spike Spiegel, Cowboy Bebop and about a billion other things)
Jennifer K. Earhart (Yurika, Martian Successor Nadesico)

Willow Johnson also did Kikyo, right ^^? Kelly Sheridan.. That name sounds so familiar to me *is trying to to cheat, but goes and looks her up* 8( Oooooh, she did Sango's voice in Inuyasha ^__^ She also does Barbie's voice in the Barbie movies if this is correct XD
I'm also partial to the English Dub Cast as well ^__^
Wendee Lee- I'm sure most don't like her, but I love the ranges of voices she's able to do ^^ She even does boy voices xDDD I would have to really listen carefully to figure those ones out XDD
Steve Blum- I first heard him as Spike from Cowboy Bebop ^^ Then, heard him as Sun Jian on the Dynasty Warriors games ^^ There were a few (a whole bunch actually) of voices he voiced in between them, but there's just too many XDD;
Michelle Ruff- She's pretty much tied with Wendee Lee with being my top two female voice overs ^^ You tend to always hear these two together ^^ I can't remember where I first heard Michelle's voice, but I remembered always liking it
One memorable role she has done was Sun Shang Xiang from Dynasty Warriors ^^
Crispin Freeman- The voice of beloved Kyon from Haruhi Suzumiya 8D If I ever fangirled over a male VA, it would definitely be Crispin ^^ He also does Alucard from Hellsing <3
Carrie Savage- She does the voice of Xing Cai from DW and Kaede from Shuffel ^__^ She's been kind of the voice that's always there, but not really noticed :-? I dunno, but I really like her voice as well ^^
Vic mignogna- The other male VA I would gladly (in fact I did) fangirl over 8D He's a very familiar voice and that's very comforting 8D He's best known for a ton of roles, but two that stick out for me are Ed Elric (FMA) and Tamki Suoh from Ouran High Host Club 8D

I don't know a whole lot of Seiyuu, but I'll throw out Romi Paku for all-around awesomeness and being able to play a man who doesn't sound like a woman or a deep gruff manly-man.
Voice Actors:
Vic Mignogna:Does Edward in FMA, Tamaki in Ouran, Kurz in FMP!, Ikkaku in Bleach, and many, many others. Is an amazing VA, and a really cool and funny guy to listen to.
Travis Willingham: Does Mustang in FMA, Mori in Ouran, and Ginko in Mushi-Shi. Is another pretty awesome guy, and carries Mustang perfectly, along with working really well with Vic.
Steven Blum: Does Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Todoh in Code Geass, and a fair amount of others. Does a really good job with all of his roles.
Johnny Yong Bosch: Amazing job, I was a huge fan of his voice way back when I was a Narutard and he had bit parts. Then I saw Bleach, and wow. He's really funny if you listen to him too, I really hope I can see him at Anime Oasis this year.
Kyle Hebert:Does a really good job and has a huge range of characters, from Aizen to Kamina.
Caitlinn Glass: The best Voice Actress I've heard, she does an amazing job as both Winry and Haruhi.
Michelle Ruff: Does Rukia from Bleach, Euphy from Code Geass, Yoko from Gurren Lagann. Is another really good voice actress, love the job she does.
Kate Higgens: Another really good VA.

A for the day. I forgot Willow did that role too, but you are correct. Kelly was also in Hana Yori Dango, but I don't think many people here are familiar with that series (Boys Before Flowers/Boys Over Flowers depending on how you translate it).

I normally watch animes based on what I've heard about their stories, not who does the voices, so I'm just going to list my favorites, even if I'm only familiar with one of their roles.
Seiyuus:
Romi Paku - Edward Elric (FMA and FMA: Brotherhood), Katsushiro (Samurai 7), and though I haven't seen them yet, I've heard she's in Bleach and Claymore
Toru Okawa - Roy Mustang (FMA)
Shinichiro Miki - Roy Mustang (FMA: Brotherhood)
Michiko Neya - Riza Hawkeye (FMA)
Keiji Fujiwara - Maes Hughes (FMA and FMA: Brotherhood)
Mamoru Miyano - Ling Yao (FMA: Brotherhood), Kiba (Wolf's Rain), Light (Death Note)
Kappei Yamaguchi - L (Death Note)
Kenta Miyake - Tsume (Wolf's Rain)
Voice Actors:
Vic Mignogna - Edward Elric (FMA), Fai (Tsubasa Chronicles)
Aaron Dismuke - Alphonse Elric (FMA)
Steve Blum - ...too many to count x.x My favorite was Darcia (Wolf's Rain)
Crispin Freeman - Tsume (Wolf's Rain)
Johnny Yong Bosch - Kiba (Wolf's Rain)
Carrie Savage - Rakka (Haibane Renmei)
Erika Weinstein - Reki (Haibane Renmei)
As for the awards, I recognize: Romi Paku, Mamoru Miyano, Rie Kugimiya, and Jun Fukuyama. That makes two that were on my favorites.

Seiyuu recognition will come with watching a lot of stuff, because you're bound to run into someone a bunch of times. I don't think anyone forces themselves to watch something just because of the cast. Knowing who's cast does help when you're looking at things to try out, in the same way you might look at who's staffing the production and which studio is producing a show. This is particularly useful at the beginning of a season, when there are a bunch of new shows to take a look at and very little other information is available.

I have a new favorite: Iemasa Kayumi (have no idea which of those is the last name and which is the first name). Most people have probably heard him as Slayer from the Guilty Gear games, but my favorite role of his is Chuujou the Silent from Giant Robo, AKA the baddest mofo ever.
Also I like Kusao Takeshi. He voiced Trunks, Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear, Ryo from Samurai Troopers.
