CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I just saw this one a little while ago. It's an amazing film.

The plot revolves around Palme's quest to return an object of power to the world underground, and also his desire to become human (he's a puppet). It goes far beyond that, as one of the main themes of the film is the loss of loved ones, either through death or emotional distance . It's a great, great movie and definately one that I recommend.

It doesn't have anything to do with Pinnochio by the way.

I'm interested in seeing this, any other thoughts, opinions?

Wow...is this thread old....
I saw this a while ago. The animation and designs are great, and I liked the feeling of ambiguity as to who the real villians were. On the other hand, I disliked the inherent ambiguity in the plot. My only real gripe was the ending. On top of being sad, it gave me that confused feeling which has become a sort of unpleasant cliche. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't figure this one out.
