Question on Sonic Series

This applies to both the video games and the anime.

Why is it that male Sonic characters never wear clothes while most of the females do? Is this implying that Sonic and friends are nudists or something? :eyebrow:

... Just wondering...

Gloves and shoes count as clothes.[/obligatorysarcasticresponse] ;D

Good question...I should probably point out that early on, Mickey Mouse had nothing but trousers.

Maybe they look more natural and more masculine like that as opposed to being with clothes, while the female characters actually wearing clothes gives more of that feminine look....

But then again....I really don't know....Love the series, but never really thought about that.....

Yeah, I heard Donald Duck's butt was once considered questionable. o.O

Erm... sorry. Just a random curiosity that popped into my head while playing Shadow the Hedgehog. (and why does Nate's av remind me of Big Brother?)

Obviously you aren't referring to Robtnik/Dr. Eggman ...who has always been clothed (thankfully).

This and maybe they were just trying to copy Minnie Mouse with the design of Amy or something and then decided to apply clothing to every female character. Of course who knows...

Because it looks like a guy intensely staring at a woman undressing?

I think the real question here is why is Temmulin playing Shadow the Hedgehog.

Yeah...I was wondering this too...didn't I once tell you Temulin that Shadow the Hedgehog was a horrible game that I only enjoyed because of some sort of odd nostalgia?

well if I remeber correctly, Sally only only wore a vest, so maybe it was a "cute factor" or something that they dress the others up?

I just figured that the more recognizably female the character is, the less likely it is that drawing that character unclothed could go without protest from someone *coughROSEcough*

One would think the answer to that would be rather obvious judging by premise, content, and musical score of the game...

Besides, since when has Peanut ever spoken reason?

BB... I love Big Brother... ^___^ (and yes... that line about peeping toms threw me for a loop there).

On topic... yeah, I think Sally was about the only one who didn't have a full costume. Blitz, did you mean Rogue? The bat chick?

I was about to say Sally from the cartoon didn't wear clothes, except for boots...in later seasons she got a blue jacket thing too (that didn't cover anything).

And I assumed he meant Rouge...her name is Rouge, not Rogue, by the way. Although Amy's last name is Rose so he could have also meant Amy, but I doubt it.

Take a classic franchise and needlessly give them guns.

Game Of The Year.

Have the main character drive vehicles despite the fact that he can run faster than any vehicle in existence.

Game of the Decade.

Have main character drive vehicles on a linear course with loops that require you to exit the vehicles to continue (add in the fact that some of these vehicles are unlocked by collecting keys scattered throughout the levels).

Game of the Century.

Temulin...I remember a chat conversation where I talked about how bad Shadow the Hedgehog because you brought up Sonic Heroes or something like that...honestly I don't remember the details of the conversation but I do remember that there was a conversation...and yet despite all the glaring flaws that make me call it a bad game I still thoroughly enjoyed it and should probably get it back from that friend I lent it to so I can complete it...or something...it makes me sad to know that I am contributing to the death of a franchise I grew up playing...

Have a hedgehog murder someone's family, with guns, vehicles, and Crush 40 music. Game of the millenia.

Peanut, yeah I kinda remember that too now. I ended up getting it one clearance for ten bucks at Gamestop. If you're liked SH, there's really no reason why you wouldn't love Shadow (but then if you hated SH... yeah. XD). Call it a taste thing, but if you're a fan of the hyper pinball sonic genre then you'll be squeeing over the little guy's existential glare.
