I love Rose of Versailles

I watched the first episode of this series a while back and put it away. To be honest I got kinda bored with it. I recently watched the 2nd episode and I was immediately pulled in by this wonderful and epic story.
Summary: A noble French General decides to raise his youngest daughter as a son, wanting an heir to carry on the family business of military. At the age of 14, Lady Oscar is pulled into the turbulent and romantic events leading up to the French Revolution.
This show (originally aired 79-80) is considered the first Shoujo drama... meaning anyone who is interested in the genre should watch this. For a better comparision, you can say this is the original Revolutionary Girl Utena, as you'll see that Utena is more or less a carbon copy of ROV.
Both Live-evil and anime-urchins are subbing this landmark series. A-U is up to episode 38 out of 40. If you like history or drama in general, do yourself a favor and check this one out.
