Haruhi Suzumiya

Just finished the first series and I find myself suddenly obsessed with it... but I was wanting to ask about the second season/series. I've heard that's coming this summer, and that it's called "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" and so is presumably based on the fourth book. Is that true?
I rather hope it is. "Disappearance" was honestly my favorite book so far, so I wouldn't complain at all to see a season based around it <3

It looks like it will be the Disappearance of haruhi Suzumiya, since it was reported after the Japan website for the anime did a disappearance'on December 18 at 4:00 a.m., Which is a reference to the pivotal date in fourth volume novel called The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya.
As for for it coming out this Summer. That is new news to me and never heard that or seen any new clips or trailers for it. It doesn't mean that it will happen, but I would think that they would have started to air a Japanese trailer for it by now.

I've tried doing the (end of episode) dance myself! It's fun. ^_^
So...could someone perhaps do a review of this show? I've heard a lot of people like it, but at the same time I've heard a few unsavory things about it. Better safe than sorry, you know?

You can do the Hare Hare Yukai dance?! FRIEND!!!:hug:I've tried again and again, but there are some parts I just can't get down pat! I may try it again when I get home. Did you know that the song translates as "Sunny Sunny Happiness"? Appropriately named! I think there's already a review in the "Reviews" section.

I loved Haruhi ^__^ It really does depend on one's taste though
I heard the same thing about the second season, and I cannot do the Haruhi Dance u_u/

Indeed it does depend on taste... I have friends who absolutely hated Haruhi when we watched part of it for our anime club xD Of course, we watched in broadcast order and even though I prefer it, it's not for everyone... so I keep trying to get them to try it out in chronological order just to see if they'd like it better that way. >.>
To me, Kyon is the reason the series works. It's hard even to tell why, but he's such an amusing and engaging narrator that it really adds to the series as a whole - even if he was still IN it, it wouldn't be nearly as good without a narrator.
Hare Hare Yukai... xD I so want to learn that dance this summer. Although when I watched the slowed-down versions on Youtube for practice purposes, I couldn't stop laughing because the song itself sounded so weird. xDD

I watched it in the order they were labeled ^^; I was gonna watch it in the special order, but I totally forgot about it xD; By the time I did.. I was a few episodes in already and was like,"Meh, it'll be ok o.o"

much agreed, much agreed. Kyon's role as narrator of the story adds a whole new dimension of emotion and humor to the series that gives the series its rich charm.

I'm just glad that creators are finally starting to give bunnygirls more of a role in anime. There's only around 8-12 series that I could name that include them.

Kyon's dry humor adds a level of reality to the whole series. With all these crazy things going on around him, he's like the anchor of reality.

Lol, yeah, he is ^^ It's funny how everyone saying Haruhi always gets her way and makes it seem like she always gets her way. That's because, they kinda make things go her way o.o; Y'know ^^

Not once, how about a few episodes? Yes, he does do a great job including his Japanese voice actor(who plays Rin in Shuffle! and Gintoki in GinTama)

Speaking of Crispin Freeman, did anyone check out "The Adventures of the ASOS Brigade"? Crispin Freeman was on one of them recording lines with Haruhi (The ULTRA ADR Director) and did an interview with her afterwards.
