April Fools on AS this year?

Im not sure if I should be making a thread for this, but I do think everyone should be informed. Im sorry I don't have any information on the AF prank on AS this year, but if anyone does please inform us all!

AS always seems to do a prank every year. One year they put in sounds into shows, another they had a marathon of Super Milk Chan episodes, another they had some Chuck Norris episodes, and then I think they showed Aqua Teen Hunger force or something.
So if anyone has any possible clues or actual information please state it in this thread ASAP!

Well, with the current lack of anime on weekdays now, the only show's they'll be pranking is their own.

And let's be honest, Adult Swim shows are a prank by themselves with no added sounds or graphics.

One year, I remember (I think it was 2006), they gave mustashes to just about every character. That was quite annoying. Last year, they added flatulence noises at random intervals. That was slightly annoying, but the immature side of me couldn't help but laugh hysterically.

I thought the farting noises were quite a few years ago when the showed FMA. Because I do remember their putting farting noices on the first episode, like when the fake priest leaned over or something.

Yeah your right, but what if the do something to Death Note or Bleach. Oh well I find the AS preview announcments of what to see that week pretty.

Yikes I must get my post count to 667 quick!

I would love it is that day's episode of Bleach was replaced by a half-hour infomercial for bleach.

For the record the mustaches were shown on Witch Hunter Robin and the farting sounds were on Ghost In The Shell:Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig.

What would be funny would be if they did all their shows in Klingon!

As for the history of April Fool pranks on Adult Swim.

2004, was the year that mustaches were drawn on characters and WHR was one of them.

2006, InuYasha was replaced by the 1980s cartoon Karate Kommandos, while Neon Genesis Evangelion was replaced by Boo Boo Runs Wild and Cowboy Bebop was replaced by Mister T. Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG had their episodes edited so characters farted throughout the show, but they did show the unedited version of GITS: SAC episode later that night, FMA was in reruns mode at the time.

2007, They revised schedule and played Perfect Hair Forever and the first ep that aired was the premiere of second season. The rest of the night was first season eps of PHF and they were modified them to like like VHS fansubs.

If they were to do that, I would actually watch it for once, I think. XDD

So you're more interested in chlorine dioxide than soul reapers?

There are days when you scare me.

hmm. maybe this years joke is that there is no joke, and they make us go insane by trying to determine what the "joke" is....

I don' know what the jerks at AS will decide to do next...but they are seriously mistreating their fans....

I mean... taking anime off weeknights is like so annoying... i can't even remember AS without anime on weeknights XD

but yeah... I hope they don't do what they did last year... several hours of PHF almost made me ill.. I hate that lousy show.

Seriously whatever happened to Quality of Comedy?

Well, the evenings of the weekends are shows when people who do not have dates would be watching. As such, to move anime off that time slot indicates that the marketing people think anime addicts *can* at least get dates.

I just realized the implications of this train of thought, and I'm choosing to leave my assessment ambiguous on purpose... I can't think of an appropriate (read non-controversial) one.

Or what if they had some teen angst-filled show, that contained teens writing notes to their jealous friends to just die because they are trying to steal their boyfriends or something. (Death Note replacement.) Or better yet just show The Hills.

They could also have a program where a kid gets his test back, getting a F+ on his test written in actual blood. (Blood + replacement.) Thats one psychotic teacher!

@ Fish and Chips- Billy Mays would be proud.

But I did think about AS not actually putting a joke on AS this year. But I wouldn't mind if the added some special effects to the anime though.

I get the feeling that if this were a real ad, Clorox sales would go up.

Well the April fools joke is on us. When we thought they would do something, they didn't.

They give us, sneak peaks and new episodes last night.

o_o you mean I was right? there WAS no joke this year. XD Not that I've ever watched adult swim on April Fools to know. My big thing on April Fools is that someone's joke will be "there is no joke".
