Thought it'd be interesting and a way to get to know you guys better. Please include a picture of the character to help us know who it is.
For me, it would be Scieszka from FMA. I too got in trouble when I worked at the library for reading a book when I was supposed to be working.
Plus, I'm a total nerd.

I'm pretty sure that the only character I've seen where I've thought, "wow, her personality is so much like mine that it's almost scary" is Pam from The Office, which is decidedly not an anime. XD I've found a number of "look-alike" characters, but no anime characters where I think they act like me at all. XD
Also, this thread probably fits best in the "Anime" forum, so I've moved it there. XD

Only character that has a close personality to my self is Sonic from Sonic X....I mean, not entirely, cuase while he's smart and witty he doesn't come across as contemplative.....and I'm contemplative........But we're pretty close in everything else.....at least personality wise (cuase I definetly don't look like him and unfortunetly cannot reach his running speed....but then who can)
As far as looks, lot's of ppl have told me I look like Shaggy from Scooby Doo......

In some ways I'm kinda like Usagi Tsukino. Sometimes I can be a little bit clumsy(not as much as her lol),like her I can't cook, but I know how to cook simple things like top ramen and cream of wheat and I'm sweet, caring and a little bit inmature.Oh and I forgot I like to play video games too.Well, the only thing that's is the opposite from her is that I don't have a boyfriend and I was never late to school.I had some poor (not real bad) grades in six grade, but once I got to 7th grade,my grades got better.

I know that this is not anime, but its very close. So Im most like Detective Dick Gumshoe from Phoenix Wright(The animesque lawyer video game for DS.). Because he and I never seem to get a break and we're both very poor and cheap. He's also slightly unkempt and absent minded. His nickname is also "Scruffy". He can be a little moody. Sometimes he can be
mad,
sad,
happy,
or just plain humorous,
.
So I think I am most like him.
I wonder if I used too many pictures. Oh well...
I'm a hybrid of two characters; Izzy from Digimon - Computer geek, all around nerd. Kinda introverted at times. Prone to shout out random catchphrases. Hideki from Chobits - Country boy with a good heart who tends to overanalyze things. Loves overalls! Loyal to his friends.

Wolfgang Grimmer (Monster), with a dash of Kisuke Urahara (Bleach) when I'm in a good mood.

Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh, XD.
Because she looks so serious even when she's happy (and then people are like "Ehh. o.o"). Apparently, my natural facial expression makes people think I'm sad/angry when I'm not, XD. Also, she looks tough on the outside, but her personality is really cute (like mine).

I'm A LOT like Tohru from Fruits Basket.
I apologize ALLL the time for things that I probably don't need to apologize for, yet still feel bad for.. ^^;
And I'm so innocent and naive at times...and I like to see the positive in things...
XD...
but I don't have a group of guys following me wherever I go. XD

Well, I'm most like Blackrose (Akira) from .hack. She's kind of shy, but when you get to know her, she opens up. She learns new things and adapts really fast. She
definitely doesn't take crap when you mess with her, but she knows which battles to pick. She's level-headed, and determined to fulfill her goal; she takes care of her friends and is more concerned and closer to them than they think. She also worries a lot--so much that it interferes with her personal life.
Oh--and she's very hardcore (look at the massive sword she carries around, hehe).
Well, the difference between us is that I'm not struggling in high school due to my brother being unconscious from playing an online virtual reality game (well...I'm struggling in Physics). I don't think a bishie-tastic bad-boyish guy (like Balmung) likes me (I think he did judging by his attitude in .hack//legend of the twilight).
She's my favorite character because of our similarities.

For whatever reason, although I am male, I almost strictly resemble female characters in anime. I guess it must be because anime tends to portray idealized characters, and I have never really embodied contemporary ideals of masculinity. At any rate, to stay on topic, mine is:
Kanako Urashima
I most resemble Hinata Apartment's very own Gothic girl, Kanako Urashima from the Love Hina series. I am known for going about the town garbed in darkly elegant clothing inspired by bygone eras. I am also known for my eccentric hobbies and obsessions that always manage to either captivate or alienate people. More often than not, however, they distance people from me, and I tend to become the misunderstood outsider operating at the fringes of any group I get involved with. Likewise, my difficulty in understanding the social mores and expectations (especially unspoken ones) of any group I get involved with can lead me to trouble and further marginalization. Even so, I tend to maintain a few close friends to whom my loyalty and affection is very difficult to question.
Runners-up for the character I am most like include Robin Sana from Witch Hunter Robin and Freda Claes from Gunslinger Girl.

EDIT: oh whooops misread the thread XD.
Anyway I do think I'm most like:
1.Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII-Well we both share the same personality traits in everyway. Bright, optimistic, deep thinking, wise, and I consider myself a tough cookie
.
2.Sailor Jupiter from the Sailor Moon series-She's a Sagittarius like me, I'm always looking out for my friends like she is, I can cook, and I'm tough (I know I know, same reason there as Tifa
).
3. And of course Rei Ayanami from Evangelion-I'm quite when I want to be. Also like Rei, I analyze things and think very deeply. I also consider myself to be a mysterious person in some ways.

Contrary to my username:
I think I'm most like either of these kids (Kantarou from Tactics and Kazu from Air Gear). I've got the 'outwardly personable, well-meaning dork with heaps of insecurities' thing they've both got going on. :X

I'm definitely a mixture of several different characters, but managed to narrow it down to these two after some deep thought.
Kiki (
Kiki's Delivery Service)
She's mature for her age and can handle being out on her own, but is still very innocent and naive to a point. She comes from a small town and doesn't quite fit in with the other girls in the city, due to her manners and the way that she dresses. She can be a little sensitive at times, but has a caring heart and loves to help others in need. I really felt like I could relate to her during the scene where she was helping out the elderly lady, because I do that kind of stuff with my grandmother all the time. XD Kiki's reaction to what the lady's granddaughter did when she delivered the pie reminds me of a few situations I've been in myself. I always try to be polite, but it really bothers me when people don't appreciate the things that others have done for them.
Hagu (
Honey & Clover)
Even though we're both 18, due to the fact that we're still so innocent and childlike, we're usually treated more like... well, kids rather than adults. XD Everyone in my family is very protective of me, like Hagu's group of friends are to her. While a lot of other girls my age would rather be out chasing guys and going to the mall, I'm happiest at home with my family or by myself, drawing pictures or going off into my own little world. I'm quiet and don't really fit in with "the crowd". I only feel comfortable around a handful of people that I know in real life, and have a tendency to cry (rather than get angry) if I get my feelings hurt. My mom also likes to joke about how I can find some of the ugliest things to be "cute", such as certain animals and whatnot. XD It makes me think of Hagu's adoration for Midori-chan, the creepy male poodle.
Honorable mentions: Kanon (Bianca) from the fifth Pokémon movie, Mitsuki from Full Moon wo Sagashite, and Yuki Cross from Vampire Knight.

I've also found that I'm like Tohru from Furaba. I recently realized that I do say "I'm sorry" a lot and often over things that weren't my fault. I'm also a bit of a clumsy ditz.

Genma Saotome - I'm at least as much of a pain in the neck to my teenage boy as he is to his son, anyway.
Takumi Fujiwara - I was part of a gang of car nuts in my early College years (I had a tuned-up Pontiac LeMans Sport that I could peg the clock on. No idea what its top speed was, because once the needle ran out of room I didn't have the guts to push it farther...)
Although, given my racing skills, I should probably call myself Itsuki Takeuchi instead...
Nobita... far, far too often...

I am a cross between all the girls within the anime/manga
Ichigo Mashimaro.
Like Nobue Ito: I can be smart-mouthed, cool, and a leader
Like Chika Ito: I can be cheerful, intelligent, and use common sense.
Like Miu Matsuoka: I can be bossy, funny, and playful.
Like Ana Coppola: I can be cute, naive, and have an overwhelming love for all things Japanese!
Like Matsuri Sakuragi: I can be shy, soft-spoken and bookish.
Yeah, that basically sums my personality up to a T.
