Doesn't anyone here like Naruto?

Look I know there's some bad stuff about Naruto (like how long stuff can go on), but I like it. I can't be alone, right?

I like the occasional episode, but I don't have the ambition to watch it every Friday night or go back to the beginning and watch it. However, when, for example, a Naruto marathon comes on, I usually watch about 5 episodes during the marathon.
It interests me, just.... not enough.
And trust me, I'm sure there are a lot of people here who like it. The ones who don't like it are probably just louder than the ones who do.

I used to love it. Then my parents like. . . banned it. xD So, I can't watch it anymore. But then I realized how incredibly annoying the dubbed CN version is in comparison to the subbed. And now I can't understand why I liked it so much, and why everyone else still does.
But it's still good it's just gone on too long now. Ya know? Makes me wonder if their going to pull an InuYasha on us. =/
And people hype is up too much, so that's annoying as well. It's "Naruto this Naruto that" constantly. Luckily it had died down a little. But I guess that's why your worried. XD There are still plently of Narutards out there, trust me.
Usualy the episodes interest me more if Rock Lee is in them. . . I love that guy! =D

I liked it way back in the day. I just don't watch it any more. I still catch the occasional episode if it happens to be on during the rare moments I'm watching TV (I don't have cable or even analog at the place I live), but I enjoyed the series.

(Generally people hate it because of the hype and the super annoying Narutards that give the rest of us regular or casual fans a bad name. There's very little of a fanbase here in Hong Kong [at least in the New Territories - I haven't been to the island much since I moved here], and aside from the odd plushie [I still want to go back to the night market and buy that Dei-chan plushie D: D: D: ] or poster you don't see much of it. I find I don't like the anime that much [I only watch when Akatsuki are involved], but I do read the manga when it comes out.)
(Personally, the dub doesn't bother me at all. Between a theater background and other anime dubs [and yes, SUBS, there is such thing as a bad sub, though to be honest I rarely watch them except in the case of a favorite unlicensed series, so I couldn't tell you which. I really only noticed them when I first started watching], I've heard much, much worse.)
(There are way to many asides in there. I can make this more coherent in the morning when it's not midnight.)

Most fans of a super-popular series like Naruto are afraid to speak up anymore because if they do they'll be taken for rabid "Narutards." And if they insist that they liked it before it became popular or that their liking the series has nothing to do with bandwagoning, they look like uppity "anime elitist" types. Best to just sit quietly in your room and watch Rock Lee take off his leg warmers and kick some booty.

That would be one reason why I don't like Naruto, but that is not the only reason why I don't like it.
A. I never cared for the story and felt that plot was meh at best
B. The plot is like DBZ with ninjas that have classroom time.
C. Too many filler eps then you can shake a stick at.
D. Naruto, himself just comes off very annoying.
E. You have so called ninjas jumping around like the Gummy Bears.
I'm just not a fan of series that are train to fight and then fight for a few eps and then train again.

I didn't want to watch/read Naruto for awhile because the hype was so excessive, but there was a time about two summers ago when it died down significantly and that's when I got into the series. I like it; it's one of my favorite series, but like everyone else has said the rabid fans drive people away, not to mention the amount of time it takes to get things done is annoying at times.
I think people generally don't like popular series (if they aren't already into them) because of the fans. Also, there are so many great series that are seriously under appreciated (like Kaleido Star!).

I am incredibly skeptical of Naruto. I've read a little and watched a little; it didn't really grab my interest, plus I've heard from way too many people that it starts out decent and then goes to crap. Also, there seems to be no end in sight. I have waaaay too many other series to watch and can't justify spending my time on Naruto. @_@

Let's put it this way.....I don't hate the series, but (as has already been said) there's so much hype about it by the immature fans of the series (my sympathy to the mature fans of this or any series)........that and there are so many amvs about the series that u can almost figure out the whole story by watching those.........
.......Though, I admit, Naruto Shippendun looks like a better watch, but that's like 500 eps away from where I am.....That and Naruto: The Abrigded series is almost better then the original.......

I don't get this either. However, due to the stupid hype I've been tempted to drop the series multiple times. I just stick with it though and watch every Friday. *sigh* I'm not obsessed I just want to watch it because its interesting. oh yeah. DIE SASUKE FANGIRLS!!! *koff* just throwing that out there...I mean Sasuke is ok..but come on!

Quoted for the truth. While he's an interesting character, the fangirls need to stop obsessing over him just for his looks. They also need to not strangle people who don't like Sasuke. . .

I don't dislike Naruto, I just don't really want to read it; same with Bleach. It's kind of a lot of trouble, and I'm not big on shounen multichapter fight scenes. I still get my friends who are actually reading the series to summarize new points; that's the extent of "staying caught up" for me. I won't expend effort to know what's happening, but it's nice to have an idea. There are some characters I like (like Shikamaru, and I don't actually dislike Naruto or Sakura, for example), even if the series is kind of draggy.
Fangirls do turn me off too, but they aren't the primary reason I'm not into it.
I've actually decided, though, that if Sasuke dies, I will go back and read the series. Considering that it's not going to happen though...

The only big shounen epics that I'm currently into are One Piece and Hajime no Ippo, though I haven't read/watched any of either of them in a while. (Been too busy watching episodes of Zeta Gundam and The Muppet Show. Muppet Gundam?)

I have watched the series since we started viewing it in our club.
When the club fizzed out and the show started on CN I have stayed with it just to keep up with the story.
I have bought the manga just to compare the difference in the stories.

Along with Bleach and Blood + it's one of the better anime currently airing on
CN Saturdays.
Certainly Naruto can be obnoxious and overly annoying, but that is just his overall personality.
If you continue with the series you can see that even he grows and changes over time.
The other main characters are also all well thought out and acted. The fact is
Sasuke is much better acted than Light in the Death Note dub(talk about annoying how can anyone stand a show where the main character talks to himself like an idiot?).
The artwork and animation is also well done.

I like Naruto! :raises hand:
I really didn't get into until I watched episode 84 where Itachi taunted Sasuke (I know weird) but I really like the story,It seemed interesting.
I had watched Prince of tennis, one that had a talking hammer in it, and few others. So I watched every episode before it to catch up that episode and the episode after that.
Then I started drawing fanart, creating fan characters, and more recently: writing fanfiction.
I enjoy watching and reading Naruto.
I guess I can be a bit of a Narutard.
I new Series is pretty good, especially since Akatsuki is in it!

I like how Mitsuki Lover just can't let Death Note go. Naruto Uzumaki can be annoying, and that's fine because it's his personality. But Light Yagami can't be annoying, because he isn't Misa Amane.

I will defend Naruto as mediocre shonen. Just because it has quite a few rabid fans doesn't mean the rest of us can't acknowledge it's not worse than you should expect from the genre.

I think Naruto will be over in two years, actually. That doesn't mean it isn't ridiculously long or that you should justify spending your time on it, but I think the various themes are running their course and we will see some resolution soon.

Naruot isn't "The worst Manga/Anime ever," just standard Shounen drivel. Not bad, just not much else.
Although that said, I find Naruto himself to be insufferable.

That is true, I have seen animes that are worst then Naruto, but I just never been a fan of this kind of genre. If people like naruto that is cool and all, I don't have a problem with people liking as long as they are not turn into annoying Narutards.

I like the series a lot, although I didn't really get into it until the Chunnin exa started. My enthusiasm has been on the decline recently, mainly because of how Shippuuden is going (the writers seem to be stretching every episode out as long as possible on purpose, so they can avoid catching up with the manga again. -_-, doesn't make for very dynamic episodes though). I still like the manga the same.

I like the manga... The anime drags. How many flashbacks do we need?

Uh...I don't think I've ever seen Light talk to himself in Death Note. Like at all. See, when Light is sitting there, and his mouth isn't moving, but you hear his voice, it's something called a "thought." I KNOW THIS SOUNDS CRAZY, but try to stay with me! See, a "thought" is something that happens inside your head. Nobody else can hear it! Since a lot of plot important stuff happens in Light's "thoughts" it becomes necessary for the watcher of the show to be able to hear his "thoughts." It would just be boring if they showed Light sitting there doing nothing! Not to mention quite confusing!
One day, I hope that you too can understand the magic that is "thinking."
The artwork and animation is also well done.

Good call Nate, Naruto is over-hyped and horrible.
I must see Death Note. I have heard of these so called 'thoughts' (lol).

You know, now that I think about it, I think Laura Jill Miller was the one that chucked my pet hamster into traffic... Dang...Anyway, Naruto is a pretty cool show. I watch the odd episode every now and then but I'm far from being a Narutard. Like it or love it, Naruto is the new DBZ. I have a Naruto calendar at my work desk, and one of my former coworkers and friend gave me a Sakura action figure (heaven only knows why.)

Hey, One Piece is hardly "drivel". XD
And I've been wondering....is that picture of Naruto real? Because that's freaking hilarious. Honestly, the manga art isn't that great either, in my opinion. I've seen some of the recent art and it looks lazy to me.
