It's been a while since I've posted, but I saw something while shopping today that I thought folks might be interested in.
Our local Big Lots has many anime DVD titles in stock for $3 each (as far as your local store, YMMV). The titles included the movie Steamboy, the Yukikaze OAV, and individual volumes of Planetes, Escaflowne, IGPX, one of the .Hack series, one of the Gundam series, and Mars Daybreak. There was more than these but this is what I remember seeing.

...which Gundam series? I've been meaning to check some other Big Lots for DVDs, because the one nearest to me was so disorganized that I couldn't find any DVDs at all.

I've known this for some time now. It's where all the anime DVDs I own right now came from. :bigsweat:
*suddenly feels quite lame*

Yeah, I've bought a few dvds from my Big Lots as well. I found some Case Closed, IGPX, something about Mars (I think), and one or two others I forgot about.

How interesting that they seem to be consistently carrying Mars Daybreak (a mecha series). Maybe I should try picking that up if I can find it.

Find one Big Lots that is organized and I will eat my keyboard!
I wonder if the Escaflowne dvds are the ones that came out in early 2000's or the newer batch?
