Desu?

OK, I have this character that I have seen several pics of, and I'm wondering who she is, and where she's from. I have a picture of her, but it's not appropriate for CAA, and I'm not good enough at photoshop to censor it. However, she has one distinguishing feature about her. She has one green eye, and one red eye. Everyone who comments on pictures I've seen of her before have refered to her as 'Desu,' which I know is a prefix/suffix in Japanese meaning "I am." This doesn't make sense as a name, so I'm asking you here who she is and where she's from.

The character is Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden. Haven't watched it myself, but it seems like a cross between Gash Bell and harem.

This her?
It's Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden. And apprently someone thought it'd be funny to edit the wiki article about her, so I don't know much other than that.
Edit: Ah, Momo beat me to it.

Anyone know why she's called "Desu" by countless 'anon''s on imageboards on the internet?
Also, can someone summarize the plot of Rozen Maiden? I just saw episode 3, and am confused.

It's a ***** joke, apparently. I don't know how it originated or why it has anything to do with that character in particular, but "Anonymous" is often connected with *****, so that's probably what it is.

Maybe she's called 'Desu' because she talks very formally and adds that to the end of every sentence. Kinda dumb to refer to her as that though, because it's the equivalent of called Dejiko 'Nyo'.

If there's an opportunity to say です in any given sentence, she does. She also says です in places where it doesn't make sense to do so.
And she emphasizes it a LOT.
As for the anime, the first 4 discs were released by Geneon, but the last two are stuck in Geneon Limbo. The first season is fairly average, but the second season is well above average.

As already stated, Suiseiseki uses the word to the point of annoyance. If you don't believe me, just type in "desu" in youtube. You'll find a few videos that are pretty much nothing but her repeating the word in the series. It's completely insane.
The main reason people make the "desu" joke is from a flooding incident though. From what I know, someone flooded a forum with nothing but the word desu...just, over and over and over again. Although annoying and hated at the time, in the aftermath, people started saying it just to be jerks and soon it just became a huge joke.
If anything I think Suiseiseki is called desu because people don't even know her name. Either that or it's alot easier to spell. ^^;

...Now that I look at that pic again, that's not the girl in the pic I have. The pic I have, the girl/doll has red hair, and her eyes are reversed from that pic. Mine must not be 'desu' as I thought. Oh well, you guys have still proven invaluable in helping me out!

DESU DESU DESU DESU DESU DESU DESU.
That's it.
It's a /b/ meme, and like many memes from there, it makes very little sense. The majority of Anon hates it, but it's popular with trolls.
DESU DESU DESU :/

I belive the girl you are looking for is Souseiseki, Suiseiseki's twin sister.
Here is a picture of her:

Um... Desu means "is" and "am" not "I am", even though in Japanese sentences, topics and subjects don't always have to be mentioned.
Watashi (I) wa (*particle saying Watashi is the topic*) Ruuku (Luke) desu (am.)
I am Luke.
Sore (that) wa (*particle saying Sore is the topic*) Fureenku (Frank) desu (is.)
That is Frank. Get it?
"Ruuku desu" would be "I'm Luke" as well, but because you can leave out the subject of a sentence if it's inferred from context.
And, yeah... It's a #-chan thing. A really annoying meme... I still find it funny that CAA censors ***** but not /b/, which is the most infamous portion of *****.
On another note, I think the Internet is creating a more frequent gap in age groups, and between those who know and those who don't... I swear, these chan memes get on my nerves, and I don't understand their popularity and the draw for people to mock anything and everything, interrupting conversations, and answering any argument with equivocation and non sequitur... The chans sort of represent the next stage in intellectual degradation. But before I have people jumping on my back for no reason because I dare to insult the mighty internet, I'll shut up about that.

It's still Suiseiseki that was being mentioned, since they BOTH have reverse eye colours and red hair

According to the earlier picture, Suiseiseki has brown hair. This girl in the pic I have has very long pink hair, her right eye is green, her left eye is red, and there is a pink star high on the left portion of her chest. I would post the picture, but it's NSFW.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that it's the next stage of intellectual degradation*. Believe it or not, there are some channers out there that are really cool people (I know some of them) though I don't participate on chan sites. XD I just think memes are fun!

In before NO GIRLS ON INTERNETS.
Okay, I'd just like to say that I know several frequenters of the chans who are perfectly normal, healthy people. I mean, aside from a couple of boards, ***** is actually pretty okay.
What wrecked it was Fox News bringing out that news report - they only humiliated themselves. And they kind of did the opposite of what they wanted to do; instead of disgracing Anonymous, it only made more memes. xD Anonymous is an internet hate machine! xDDD
While a lot of the chan boards is pretty much filth, there are some pretty intelligent channers and yeah, even /b/tards out there. What about the Anonymous librarian? Their threads were all for discussion of books and ebooks.
And the Holders series is marvellously written. Love it. [:

It's a website, and you don't need to know what it is. :p
Actually the website is mostly fine, except for a few areas, but those areas are some of the more disturbing parts of the internet. I'm assuming Mith censored it to prevent kids from accessing it out of curiosity. Please keep your innocence. XD

*****?
It's where Sauron goes for his daily web-browsing and chatting.
P.S. There's really good stuff on there? I had thought there might be, but it's nice to know there really are some normal people there.

It's really only "that one board" (if you know the site, you know what I mean) that has the really bad stuff on it. There's also hentai/ecchi/yaoi/yuri boards too.
BUT. It has some pretty rad boards. There's a photography board, nature board, a papercraft/origami board, and even a food board. In fact, when you go to the site, if you look in the left hand corner at the top, it has an option that says "Show only worksafe boards." So if you click that, you won't run into anything nasty.
Still, it's that ONE board that gives the site its (mostly-deserved) ill reputation. And as far as the people go, it's like every site on the internet. Yeah, there's idiots and jerks but there's also normal people there too.

Don't forget the boards for video games and traditional games! Plus, on one of them (7), there's a board devoted to nothing but cats! One of the most hilarious boards on the internet!
By the way, a fellow CAAer is censoring the picture, and either he or I will post the censored version for you all to try to identify.

Because the meme is so engrained that most Channers only recognize it for the joke. For similar results, look up "Muda."

Aha (to continue with the *chan type board posting, please forgive me), a sauce has been located!
The pic I have is of Vanessa, from the Nintendo DS game Luminous Arc! She seems to be a Desu look-alike, somewhat. Now I must go to the video game boards to see if Luminous Arc is worth the money to buy.
