i saw the whole thing in japanese , i was happy at first to see the sailor star lights turn into chicks and throw space matter at people -_-' but then after it was done i was saying it isnt so good.

is the anime better then the manga?

HUGE difference between the anime and manga, such as Rei's crows playing a part in the series. It didn't have the the first arc that the anime did, from what I remember (and I enjoyed it too). Can't remember, been a while since I watch/read either.

In the manga, the Star Lights have always been girls. They just cross dress as guys.

I think that's one of the things that is constantly debated in SM fandom,were the Stars guys or gals pretending to be guys?

Personally I don't have a problem with it either way,after all in the
'90s Supergirl comic they had a lesbian character that turned into a guy that turned into a horse!
(And people think the whole Stars thing was confusing!)

Yeah, they're girls. I think Takeuchi-sensei said it herself that only females can be Sailor Senshi, so they're true forms or whatever have to be female. I heard she didn't like the way they did the Stars anime, but I don't really remember a whole lot because it's been so long since I've looked into Sailor Moon.

The manga storyline was better, and the Starlights played a much smaller role in it. Chibi-Chibi's true form was also much cooler (I can't believe they didn't put Sailor Cosmos in the anime). That said, while I could be mistaken, I believe the manga is more... graphic. More sleazily-dressed women running around. That really wasn't necessary. And if you're repulsed by girls kissing girls... Seiya does kiss Usagi. Of course, so did Haruka in the S arc. Anyway... that's my take.

im not appealed by girls kissing girls it doesn't bother me at all. i think i would like seiya better to be with usagi-chan [if he was a guy guy] then mamo-chan
