New Anime Network: Fun!

I was at a friend's house watching her Verison FIOS tv ... and found that on the Verison FIOS channels there's a station called FUN! This station is owned, ran by , and featuring the shows of Funimation.

For those who don't know what Funimation is:

It is a company that sees to presenting animes to the western world, like Viz does or some of the other companies. As I said, they are decent if not good at getting good voice actors and proper translations ... although, as could be expected with a dub, if there be no direct translation they will make up something that fits it. (Thank God they don't do what 4Kids does to anime).

I'm not sure if this channel available in satelite or digital cable, though. So far I have only seen it available in FIOS. (Man I want FIOS so I can have access to 24/7 anime lol)

That channel's been on our digital cable's On Demand section for a while. You can also get some Funmation animes on iTunes, though I'd presume dub-only.

Thanks, JF! :3 <3

:/ Sadly, I don't have digital cable ... but that's ok, when FIOS comes available we're switching over any way. FIOS >>>>> cable (even digital cable): faster, clearer, more channels, cheaper, better over all. YAYNESS [/end hyper rant] ^^;

I'm excited.

As for iTunes .... my pc doesn't like apple products at all .... and I don't have an iPod. Oh woah is me, to not be able to download it into my pc legally like I get to watch TBN's tv networks on my pc. ^^ Love that. Good Christian channels.

We have FiOS and Funimation over here as well. Only thing for me is, though, that I can't really seem to find anything I want to watch on there. One main reason is that my mom doesn't really like anime and since she's home during the day that means I can't watch any new animes series without buying it or borrowing it from the library (and that's only for Ghibli movies). Another reason is that I have almost no clue of what show is on when and such...I kind of liked it when we had AnimeNetwork on Demand, and I think it would be pretty cool if FiOS could get that as well. With Cartoon Network on the side, for the few good shows that I watch on there.
