CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

I finally started the Monster anime and so far, its is easily one of the best I've seen.

I've only read a tiny bit of the manga, but then again, I've only seen the first four episodes of Monster. So tell me, how much is it worth finishing?

I got inspired to finally start it after seeing the thread for the Live Action movie.

congrats my friend. you have begun one of the greatest anime series in history. hope you enjoy the series. you might want to get started on the manga soon too. i don't know if it's wise to watch the anime while going through the series, but that's what i did...

The Anime is essentially a verbatim adaptation of the Manga, just with a few scenes' orders swapped and such. And yes, it is definitely a worth finishing, though how you feel about the ending is a matter of personal taste.

And of course, once you've finished this, read 20th Century Boys and Pluto.

Isn't 20th Century Boys by the same author or is the concept just similar?

Yes, Naoki Urasawa wrote and drew them both.

i personally found 20th Century Boys to be better than Monster. I liked the art more, and it had a...more mysterious or creepier tone to it. the story is nothing like Monster. it's a completely different concept. i find it somewhat frustrating that there is no anime for 20th Century Boys.
