would anyone reccomend this anime? I have tons of money on itunes and am thinking about buying this anime. what's your opinion? (the animes that i like are RK, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist(not as much as the manga though.....), Naruto, Ghost in the Shell: stand alone complex, and Cowboy Bebop.

I heard there's a dark overtone but that's ok with me.

Umm well it's rather violent and yes there are some dark overtones. For the first few episodes it spends an episode focused on each girl which would have worked better if the series wasn't so short. My biggest hate of this show was that it focused on a girl (and her "brother") pair that I really dispised after a few episodes. A major theme of the show is how the girls are interact with their "brothers" which means love/obsession in some cases (way wierd). It's definately not a happy show, but was interesting to watch... once.

It's got some good action, but it's really about the relationships they have with their older "brothers". It's pretty dark, depressing, and sometimes a bit disturbing. I enjoyed it, however.

I think these guys may accidentally giving you a wrong connotation on certain things. There are no sexual implications between any of the characters, although it can be rather tragic what happens to then.

I say buy it, its one of my personal favs, touching, tragic, and with a heart-wrenching musical score to boot.

The Social Welfare Agency welcomes your patronage :)

If you have cable and it carries the IFC network they have been airing this series.

The gunslingers are all young girls and thus have the emotional level of young girls. All of them have very tragic pasts and are physically and mentally manipulated into their rather violent line of work. I don't see how that ends happy, and neither, apparently did the show's creators.

The characters of the story, however, are very compelling and the show itself is well put together and worth watching, but be prepared for an emotional roller coaster ride.

I haven't seen it but it's on my list along with Madlax of shows I want to see one of these days.
On the other hand I have seen the first five episodes of NOIR and can recommend it.

Umm...I'd give it a 13+ AT LEAST, 16+ at most. There's a lot of violent scenes with blood, but it's no GitS:SAC 2nd Gig. Also the Social Welfare Agency isn't the most moral or clean mouthed crew around. But GG was still a great show with lots of character development.

"the girl has a robot body. however she is still an adolescent child."
That's the phrase on the logo.
