May be opening anime store...

Note: Mods, I have no clue on earth if this is allowed or in the right area ^^ I’m so very sorry if it isn’t right.

All right, I have a question for the fans out there who buy their merchandise.

For quite awhile now, I have been bopping back and fourth the idea of a lightly-used anime-manga & more store online, because I’ve accumulated a ridicules amount of DVDs, books and other things from friends who dumped their old stuff on me, donations from my local anime club, etc. I’ve finally gotten to the point where I have all this stuff laying around in near-new condition, and it’s just sitting there… yet I have nothing to do with it. So, in the event that I was able to open this shop and sell this merchandise, I would like to ask some questions as to what you, CAAers, would like to see in general, as it seems to me that if I did open this shop, it would pertain to mainly CAA-branded titles, i.e., absolutely no Hentai, Yaoi or Yuri, with flags and markers for potentially suggestive themes and materials.

I suppose you could call this shop a bit of a mission to send anime with Christian-themes (or at least morally sound plot lines) out into the world, at a drastically lower price.

So, a few questions for you:

What titles in particular are you interested in purchasing?

What genres do you want to see more of?

Alternatively, what genres don’t you want to see more of?

What is the thing that draws you most to a title? Specific genre, plotline, art styles, artists, etc.?

Thank you so much for the time. Again, Mods, if this is wrong, I am very very sorry

Are you looking at like... a website based store or perhaps something on eBay? I've known a lot of people successful with the latter. Mostly as online kind of "junk" stores, but you could deal in anime products specifically.

I have a feeling that most people will advise you to try selling on eBay or some place like that instead of trying to set up your own store.

I've already done a lot of stuff with Ebay, so I was sort of hoping to progress on to my own little store

If you do, you should work a payment system with Paypal. Unless its a huge megabrand kind of store, I don't spend money online any other way, and I know a lot of people who feel the same way.

All right, now that payment is settled (I wanted to use pay pal anyway, because it is very safe and it is also the only thing I trust online) would someone please address the questions above?
