Last night's Naruto episode ended with a tech problem. It just stopped they backed it up and tried to repeat the scene and the show just ended and went right to One Piece. I just wanted to know what I did not get to hear or see in that scene because of some tech problem.

It might be helpful to provide some more information, though perhaps those who watch Naruto regularly can already help. Can you give us the episode title? Can we assume you're watching the Toonami dub?

The scene is where Kakashi is at the memorial marker and a woman walks up.
She lays some flowers down and he says that she must have come to pay her respects to someone and she says that he must have come for the same reason, but for another person.
Then they start talking about something else and that is when the tech problems started.

I experienced that problem too and was highly annoyed by it. I wonder if it was a nationwide thing or just on the east coast. Ah well, if anyone did get to see the whole episode, I'd be interested in knowing how it ended as well.

It's all Obito's fault...no more than a minute or two after they utter his name for the first time, the episode breaks down.

*shakes head*

The female says, "Are you here as an excuse for being late? You could just come early."

Kakashi responds by saying, "I've actually been here since-"

And then the episode cuts off.

Does anyone have the rest of the sentence and what else happened?

(Episode 80, "The Third Hokage, Forever...!" The rough line is: (paraphrased from memory from both the manga and subbed anime).)

ANBU: Why don't you come early, Kakashi-senpai, so you won't always be late?

Kakashi: I do come early. But then... then I feel like punishing my old self.

(I had the problem too. I was very annoyed because I wanted to see how they'd translate that line. But it should be showing again sometime... Not tonight, sadly, they're not even showing the next one.)

It was nationwide...and I had to laugh when it happened. I was like "I can just imagine the enourmous outcry that many Naruto fans are going through right now... XD The thought was funny.

If I remember Correctly, Kakashi says something about when he comes to the grave it sort of makes him feel like he is punishing himself

The scene then pans out to show Jiraiya who is watching them. He then starts to rememember his childhood where he is tied to a tree and a younger Hayate (Hokage) is just looking at him. We then see Jiraiya looking at a puddle..

The scene changes back to the funeral and Naruto is like "Ninjas should show emotion...and we see flashbacks of the Hokage doing some pretty emotion driven things... like hugging and comforting his people. We see the main characters as younger children interacting with each other and the Hokage and it's a very touching scene. Very warm. As we see these sceens we see each character that were in the flashback scenes putting flowers on the memorial table. As if it's their memories.

Then we finally reach Naruot whose scene is the longest and he is remembing the trouble he caused, and the good times he had with the hokage...it looks as if he is about to cry. We then see that he is looking up at Hokage's cracked face in the mountain. After this Naruto Asks Iruka:
"Why do people risk their lives for others?"
Iruka says something like "When a person dies he dispappears his past, his future as well as the present." He goes on to say that humans die in wars, and we die easily. he says taht the Hokage was one of these people...but he also says that everyone is like that. That we all have hopes and dreams..and that the bond between people is important and that as time goes on, our bond with each other grows...and it stand to reason that we will want to protect each other.

Naruto seems to understand but he still says that it's painful when someone dies.

Kakashi says that he didn't die for nothing and that he left something for them behind...and that they will find out what that is later .

Sakura notices the rain stopped and the skies beging to clear.

As the crowd disperses, Naruto waves goodbye to Iruka sensei. Iruka then thinks to himself that the village really was inheriting the will of fire that Hogake spoke of, and that as time goes on the fire will grow and protect the villiage.

Naruto continues to run toward Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke .

we then see a couple of people in red and black flowered robes... one says something like how the Village that prospered like other was reduced inflicted a lot of damage

The other characters aid that the village had become pitiful. The first one replies "Coming from a guy like you, that's out of character.. And taht he thought that since he was from the Leaf villiage he would have a been a bit more proud of his villiage.

the guy replies with a simple, "no. I don't."

he lifts up his hat that he is wearing and we see an eye just like Sasuke's and Kakashi's left eye.

END of episode

That's good as far as summaries go but I see one mistake:

he is tied to a tree and a younger Hayate (Hokage) is just looking at him.

The Third Hokage's (family) name was Sarutobi. Hayate was the procter of the 3rd Exam preliminaries who got killed by the Sand. He was the guy with the cough.

I think they are going to have an encore of the episode next week, if I'm not mistaken. Any issues with the tape should be resolved by then.

They're gonna re-run the episode this weekend, and then they're going to show 2 new episodes afterwards. I have TiVo, so I can look at upcoming showings of different programs.

I saw that in the schedule as well.It looks like they're having another Naruto marathon. It's probably to make up for the fact that they had Spirited Away and the
Teen Titans In Tokyo movies on Saturday.

I thought it was kinda funny when Cartoon network black out, cause my brother was in the other room and when Kakashi said"I been here since..." he started to yell "Since!!!! Since!!!! Since when!?! How long!?!?!", I was thinking the same thing.
