I thought that this would help and cut down on too many threads on anime that will be coming to North America.
The 13-episode series called Flag has been pick up by Bandai. No update on when Flag will be release.
When They Cry (Higurashi no Naku Koroni) is now been pick up by Geneon.
The first volume will be release on June 5th.

Anime News Network and Anime News Service are the big two sources for anime news on the internet.

Higurashi hasn't announce on ANN, which is odd. Yes, I know that the Galaxy Angel one has been reported.
I just felt that some people like to know, since some don't go searching for anime news.

Not anymore. I found one that blows ANN out of the water, but the site talks about everything that you want to know about anime and stuff from Japan.
Its a site that I feel shouldn't be link here, due to younger members on here.
ANS, I don't trust them. I take what they say as a gain of salt and nothing more.

It wasn't obviously labeled, but Higurashi was the subject of the "Guess the Geneon license" contest in the past two weeks.

I've read clippings about
Higurashi's licence on ANN, though it might have just been Answerman.

ok, here's a link to an anime I want to find more of, can anyone tell me what company has liscenced it here in America? I realize it's not entirely Christian, with some implied shoujo-ai, but it's still a great series!
Venus Versus Virus on ANN

I'm not sure if Venus Verses Virus has even been licensed yet, so if you want to catch it, fansubs should still be legal right now.

So far, Venus Verses Virus hasn't been licensed yet in NA.

What would you pick as the MUST buy DVD of the ones that are being lincensed currently.(Excepting of course The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,I think we can pretty much take it for granted that that one is going to be a instant must because of the way it generated interest on the internet.)I.e. what would your personal top 5 or so newly lincesed anime be?

The license is hardly "New" (at two years, it's rather decrepit), but now that Geneon is finally releasing it, Fate/Stay Night looks impressive. I'll be ordering the first volume soon, so I'll see how my impressions hold up.

Looked it up in the Rightstuf print catalogue. It's the one about the Holy Grail War.
Looks to be a reasonable $26.98 per DVD.

Deepdiscount offers volumes for a flat $20. I've already ordered a copy, should have it in around 5-10 days.
Any word on the
Mushishi license? I know Funimation bought it, I'm wondering when we'll actually be allowed to consume DVDs legally.
Yes, consume. Not watch. Consume.

Anyone have any idea on where to look for this particular series? It's sort of a dual-focus anime, following a "hero" group who doesn't care about collateral damage at all, and a "evil" group who are not very good at being evil.
Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge

Fansubs are out there if you look for them. I don't recommend it, though. The first episode was tolerable, but the second was largely panties, nosebleeds and worse, and that's all I bothered with.

Also ADV acquired 009-1 (Zero Zero Nine One) and will release the first volume June 19th. They rated it TV-MA VSL.

No horror in it, but Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge (not being licensed in US as far as I know) is a pretty good magical girl, sci-fi, comedy type series.
