Has anyone seen any of the episodes of Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle? I recently discovered this awesome series (I think it only came out last year), and have found it absolutely addicting. :thumb: I mostly like it for the interesting characters. It also has good animation for the most part, and it has little objectionable content.

Am I the only one?

Never heard of it. What's it about?

I've seen the name around, but haven't looked into it yet. It looks like it's only, 13 episodes long. What exactly is it about? (The description leaves much for the imagination.)

Well the first episode is about Gar-kun (Gargoyle) learning how to be a good gatekeeper to the Yoshinaga family and earn their acceptance. (The girl who won him hates him at first, though the rest of her family does not.) After that, he expands his sphere of influence to protect the entire town.

In a way, it could be compared to Rurouni Kenshin or Yu-gi-oh!, since there are various interesting bad guys always challenging Gar-kun's powers. (These powers include laser beams and instantaneous movement.)

Is that a better description?

Gar-kun?!? ROTFL! Wow I have to see it now just to hear them say that. XD

So Gar-kun is a guy? I'm guessing he's the tall guy in black in the Anime News Network pic? He looks like a vampire.

No, no. Gar-kun is the purple Gargoyle that looks like a dog with wings. The guy in the back is a Kaitou named Hyakushiki. He's actually pretty funny. (Then again, it seems I'm always falling for the Kaitou. *sigh*)

Hey I finally had a chance to watch some of this series! I must say it is a hidden gem of a show. :thumb: I love how Gar-kun speaks with that monotone droning voice. They have some more intelligent humor/satire worked in as well as the typical "funny" humor that kids would like. I love when Gar-kun was going around with the "I'm a dumb rock" written on his back for the whole episode.

Personally though it's not something I could watch in long spurts. I saw 2 episodes in a row and the pretty much killed my desire to watch anymore that day. So I guess I like it, but I don't consider it a run away favorite.
