Ok let's try to think up and list all the Pacifists we can in animedom.
The most obvious are:
*Vash The Stampede and Rem on Trigun
*Relena Peacecraft on Gundam Wing
*Lacus Clyne on Gundam Seed
*Yukumo on Shinzo
any others we can name?

Yeah, I was kind of wondering why he wasn't on the list in the first place. XD

Anyways, yeah. That's all that comes to mind.

Quatre from Gundam Wing. His pacifism made me utterly nauseated.

GOODWILL-TOWARDS-MEN SMASH!

You have to appreciate a guy who can negotiate with the dead.

So we are talking those who practice pacifism through superior firepower?

I’ll add Rushuna Tendo of Grenadier.
Also up for consideration: Yuna of Galaxy Fraulein Yuna. She exemplifies the “turning your enemies into friendsâ€

Yeah, when he went insane. But under normal conditions he hated fighting.

I find it interesting that both Yukumo in Shinzo and Relena in Gundam Wing switch from total pacifism to later a place where they're willing to allow for fighting when it becomes necessary.
For the most part I think Kenshin would be considered some what of a pacifist in that he does not fight to harm or kill but to protect.

The term "pacifist" has a variety of definitions. But in general terms it can refer to those who will not kill regardless of if they will get involved, restrain, fight, etc.

I would say he counts due to the (relatively) recent revelation that he isn't in control of himself in Kruznik form. In his right mind I don't think he's killed anyone, and he's avoided using his other form to the point of nearly killing himself.

He doesn't have control in his Kruznik form?
I was going to put him down but then I remembered his Kruznik form, but if you say so I guess he counts.

It's like Vash the Stampede transforming into Alucard. XD

Given the current list, I think Yoh from Shaman King qualifies. Most of the time he's pretty adamant about not killing anyone, including his enemies.

In one of the later episodes he displays very uncharacteristic behavior, nearly kills one of his vamparic allies, and then seems horrified about what he has done. It seems controlling enough to count in my book.

I don't recall, UC.

Which ep. was that?

Would Miroku count?I mean aren't Buddhist monks supposed to be sort of pacifists?
Then again given the peculiar circumstances he is in...

Probably not. Alexander Anderson of Hellsing is a priest but he's not precisely a pacifist. All I mean to say is that this list, for whatever reason we are making it, should be of characters who more or less hold to a specific pattern of behavior, not those who should.

I'll go look...

14: The Ibelis III - A Mark of Sinner
http://www.tv.com/trinity-blood/the-ibelis-iii.-a-mark-of-sinner/episode/841310/recap.html

It includes one of the few Trinity Blood moments that actually impressed me:
Radu is being typically villainish, even when Abel goes to 100% usage of his power. After making some arrogant claim Abel cuts him off with "You are prey and I will hunt you down and consume you" in his Krusnik voice. It got raised eyebrows from me, anyway.
One character who comes to mind is the Nobunaga fellow from one of the early episodes of Inuyasha. You know, the one where Kagome used an aerosol can and a flame to exorcise the frog youkai.

Oda's cousin.
Tough to say on wheter or not he was since he was only in that one episode.

One character you guys haven't mentioned that comes to my mind might be Kira Yamato of Gundam SeeD. True, he did fight, but he fought for a good reason: only to protect his friends. That seems like a pacifist to me. Besides, he truly hated it when anyone, even those not allied with him, died.
