Starting tomorrow, funimation will have a weekday special announcement.

I just thought it would be a good idea to make one big thread on it.

Technically all the shows have been "licensed" already, and it's only now they're making the announcement (since they gave letters out to subbers months ago, telling them to stop distribution). Soon to come is xxxHOLiC TV, Mushishi, and a couple others.

Yeah, I readed about that. I'm wondering if Beck will be one on the list. Since the dvd's are coming in 2007, but we don't know when.

Beck is already announced as licensed. This is really FUNi just saying all those titles that they sent C&D letters out for last fall are indeed licensed... they must think we're stupid or something.

I know that Beck has been announced as licensed, but we don't know when the dvd's are coming out. This makes me wonder if it will be one that will be reported on the site as date that first dvd will be release.

Well, it would be nice if at least one or two of the announcements weren't already spoiled previously be C&D letters.
Otherwise, this whole thing seems very underwhelming.

More surprises today after yesterday's slightly eye-opening announcement of Sousei no Aquarion.

Today brings us THREE, count'em THREE announcements!

The licensing of Shuffle! (HUZZAH!), Itsudatte My Santa, and the launch date of Tsubasa Chronicle (May 22 ^^)

Heh looks like they DID have more stuff planned...

As for Aquarion though, after a couple comments made on it on the ANN forums, I'm backing away from that show (although in appearance lookED like it had some potential :/)

I think with the Santa one licensed, which is only a 2-ep OVA, there's hope for other series that short to coming out, and I know there is quite a few like that... Hopefully the price will be VERY reasonably (concidering it IS only 2 eps) and/or a pile of good extras. Not that I'm interested in that one in perticular (dunno what it's even about^^) but just generalizing all short OVAs like that...

Big names attached to Aquarion, but everywhere I look it seems to have very sub-par reviews.

Another title that we already know that they have the rights to. The 26 ep series called Mushishi.

Also, Funimation Channel aquires three shows from Right Stuf International.

Well, Mushishi is something I might want to see one day all of^^ More of a rental title though, but now since we have Blockbuster and not our other rental, they probably won't even carry it! The other place was actually good with carrying titles, like from FUNI and Viz, but since they were bought over my Blockbuster, like, none at all! >_< Maybe one day I SHOULD subscribe to Netflix...
