CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

My dad has finally read some reviews for the following anime at Anime Angels and CAA:

Fullmetal Alchemist
InuYasha
Vandread
Bleach
Last Exile
Rurouni Kenshin
Cowboy Bebop
Trigun
Black Cat

He is now letting me watch everything from that list, except for Bebop and Black Cat.^^

Also I'm going to get him to read reviews to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Appleseed, Azumanga Daioh, Death Note manga, Wolf's Rain, and S-Cry-Ed (the anime, not the manga).

Uhm, why does he disagree with Black Cat? Just curious, don't want to start a debate or question your father's authority, but it strikes me as a bit odd that he would let you watch Bleach and Inuyasha(both worse content-wise) and not Black Cat. Don't answer the question if it makes you feel uncormfortable though.

Bebop and Black Cat both have bounty hunters. Maybe his dad doesn't like bounty hunters?

There isn't a CAA Black Cat anime review...unless I missed something.

I was thinking the same thing about Ghost in the Shell:SAC, but then I read the fine print.

Maybe he meant the manga review. I remember reading that one once. And congrats, Rurouni, hope you enjoy those series!

I think perhaps the member meant manga review-- which we do have. That's the only possiblity that I can imagine.

With that said, RN, let me just say how very glad I am that you and your family have been able to use CAA to aid you in deciding what anime is appropriate for you. This is exactly what we write and approve the reviews for, and it's nice to see them doing their job for everyone! If your dad has any further questions about a series after the reviews, please tell him that he is free to post his questions here in the anime forum via your account or one of his own, should he care to set one up. I know we have more than a few parents who are part of the forum who first joined to address concerns about the anime/manga that their children were watching/reading, and we want to support family involvement as much as we can!

yeah. i guess it might be my fault that rurouninaruto can't read (or watch) black cat cause i was the one who wrote the review. sorry. XD

anyways, i sorta doubt that your dad will let you watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. the anime's probably the worst title on your list (content-wise), especially since your dad won't let you watch bebop. anyways, congrats!!

One shouldn't base their anime-viewing on manga reviews however and the words "watch" and "anime" implied that rurouninaruto was talking about anime.

They are different mediums and the manga is usually worse content-wise (with some exceptions) than the anime.
