who gets dibs on killing Naraku?

As every Inu-yasha fan knows, Naraku has LOTS of people gunning for him. Sango wants him because he's made Kohaku a puppet. Kagome wants him because of all the anguish he's put her through. Inuyasha wants revenge for Kikyo. Kohaku wants to repent for all the evil he's caused. Miroku wants to get rid of his wind tunnel. So which character do you think should get to kill Naraku. I say Inuyasha because he's the one with the biggest grudge and he is the title character after all.

well naturally its going to be Inuyasha that kills him more than likely but i think that kohaku should be the one to kill him. i mean i think he has been hurt the most by him.i mean naraku made him kill his family and then took him as his personal minion. not to mentino since he is closest to naraku he could kill him easier than the others.

It has to be Kohaku since he's the only surviving major character who has easy access to Naraku.
Also:
1)Kagome won't do it because it isn't in her character to kill, even though she sees
Naraku has being the evil and insidious villian he is,she has had plenty of chances in the past and I don't think if she really had it in her she would have necessarily have missed.

2)Inuyasha isn't quite as strong enough to do it yet.And even if he did Sesshomaru would probably get in his way and try to claim first rights(you should add Sesshomaru to the poll btw).

3)Sango can't because Naraku can always blackmail her by using the jewel shard in Kohaku's back as leverage.

4)Miroku can't either because of the fact that all Naraku has to do is to sic his poisoned bees on the Monk.Every time Miroku has tried to use his Wind Tunnel on
Naraku the same result has occured.Naraku uses his poisoned bees for diversion.

Therefore Kohaku is the only one who can kill Naraku.

Well, duh, Inuyasha, because he'd look the coolest doing it.

I give the honors to Inuyasha for one reason, and one reason only....

He's the title character! His show, his kill!

I bet you anything it'll be a joint effort with at least one sacrifice (or APPARENT sacrifice... whoever it is might still live).

What about Sesshoumaru? He's in the running too, and building up an attack that would CERTAINLY be useful against Naraku.

Some of your points are outdated according to the manga... especially concerning Kohaku and Sango.
Kohaku no longer has access to Naraku. And if my memory serves, Sango has kinda squared with the fact that Kohaku is going to die because:

BIG SPOILER

Kohaku is going to sacrifice himself to give the shard back to Naraku so that the Shikon is completed. In that moment when it's put together, Kagome has to shoot the Shikon and purify it.

I think this is still the plan, but I haven't read in awhile and Naraku could have foiled it already.
Actually, the Japanese version of the manga is supposed to end next year. Unfortunately, that means we'll probably have to wait til 2008.

if it was an apparent sacrafice then it would prolly end up being kikyou just cause she seems to survive everything after she has been killed for the hundreth time. lol

IN all honesty, I think the viewer should get first dibs on killing Naraku just because he strung us along through well over a hundred episodes of meaningless battles and confusing plots!

Whatever Kohaku has planned one must remember that his purpose is to get close enough to Naraku's heart so that he can kill him.
Also remember still that he is the only one that can get close enough to Naraku to accomplish this.It might be part of a bigger plan or not,we will have to wait and see when the final chapters are published in America.
I doubt that Sango is suddenly going to just let her baby brother sacrifice himself like that without trying to find a means to save him from dying. It isn't in her nature to do so.Yes,she has from time to time been willing to kill him herself, but only if she was able to die with him.
Wheter or not purifing the jewel will actually kill Naraku is another question altogether.

And let's not forget that every time she gets the opportunity to kill Kohaku (like when the demon-rats infestation occurred, which really made me hate Hakudoshi), her heart stops her.

I think it will be a team up of Inu and Sesh( I know the spelling is bad) for when those to work together Naraku wouldn't last five minutes

Ranma from Ranma 1/2 shows up as a cameo and kills Naraku.
