Ok I think it is time I came clean and admit that Inuyasha isn't my all time favorite anime. The fact is it's only my #2 favorite. My favorite all time anime
is Silent Mobius. :thumb:
I know it's easy for even me to forget this little factoid, primarily because
Inuyasha is:1)on all the time,2)has 167 episodes,3)4 movies while on the other hand Silent Mobius:1)hasn't been on for couple years,2)has only 26
episodes,3)2 movies. Also Inuyasha is by far the better known so you can see how easy it is for even me to forget which is my favorite and which is my second.
Anyways the reason why Silent Mobius is my favorite are:
*It was the first serious anime that I ever saw.
*Yuki was the first anime girl I fell in love with.
*I always get a butterfly in my stomach when it gets toward the end.
*The episode where Katsumi has to go and temporarily live with the other AMP members has some really hilarious personality quirks in it:
*Yuki's constant kaoroking
*Kiddy's slobbiness
*Nami's look when Katsumi spills food
*Lebia's Star Trek style apartment and the way Katsumi freaks when trying to press the right button to get the bed
Anyways just some of the reasons why I perfer Silent Mobius first.
Of course since I saw it first is another reason it's #1 for me instead of Inuyasha, now if I had seen Inuyasha first it probably be reversed.
Oh and one of the selling points when it came to Inuyasha for me was the fact that Kelly 'Yuki Saiko'Sheridan played Sango in the Inuyasha dub! :thumb:

Hmm... have fun with it... I hate Silent Mobius. I hate the art (same creator as nadesico, but the nadesico anime has a more palatable character design set than the manga) and the story just didn't grab me... I tried...

i have to say that while inuyasha was also my favorite anime its not really so much as it is before. mainly for the reasons that you said. its on all the time along with 4 movies and 100 some odd ep. it just gets boring after a while when you have seen just about every ep. about three or so times. right now my favorite anime has turned to Fruba. but then again i dont know how long that one will stay my favorite either. i tend to change my mind a lot.l lol

I haven't seen Silent Mobius in so long...

The opening theme gave me chills (the transition from organ to J-Pop, I mean).

Yeah,I do have to remind myself from time to time which one is my favorite. As I noted it has been an aweful long time since it has even aired.Fortunely I have vol.
2 of the DVD(cost me $13.48 at Animenation)which came with 2 discs and 9 episodes. So now all I need is vol.1 and 3 and I will have the complete series.
I did get a kick out of the fact that the North American voice for the villianness in
the second Inuyasha movie:The Castle Beyond The Looking Glass was the voice of
Katsumi in the Silent Mobius dub.
Then again I think of the main case for Inuyasha I believe that only Richard Cox and Moneca Stori weren't also in Silent Mobius.Though the most obvious one was
Kelly Sheridan.

The movies were better for me. Something about "pointy-nose art" I don't know about, but anyways - it was a decent series.

I did like aspects of Silent Mobious. Some of the story elements were good. It was more of a one time deal thing watch it once be done with it.

I was thinking the same thing, but I wasn't sure. I wasn't even sure they were movies until I read it in this thread. I thought they were an OVA series or some such - it's been so long since I've seen them. I saw them back in my university days in the anime club we had there.

I believe the order was:
1.Manga
2.Movies
3.Series
They say the series is better because it sticks closer to the manga and in some cases is word for word.

the ep where Katsumi has to stay with the others really makes me laugh. Especially when we see Kitty's place and the size of her communicator is SOOO tiny! How could she find that thing?
But I hate Li Cheng. Is it just me or does she seem like she got fashion tips from Chun Li of Street Fighter?

You mean Lum Cheng.
She's the only one who could make the normally sweet and kind Yuki saying anything catty.Though they did seem to be able to get their differences straightened out toward the end of the series.
btw:I notice in the DVD in the opening credits following Lum Cheng's introduction
they added her in with the other members of the AMP.I might be wrong but I
don't think she was in in the original intro on the tv version.Does anyone have a tape of the tv version of the opening starting with Labrynth that could confirm or
disprove that?(I.e. that Lum Cheng is included in the opening in the DVD version but not in the tv version.)
