How would you wrap up Inuyasha?

Since Inuyasha isn't wrapping up anytime soon  , I thought I'd see how you people would do it. Here's what I'd do. The Adamant Barrage would kill Naraku, then we'd find out:
 • Kouhaku would remove his Jewel Shard but survive
 • Kagome would still be able to visit, even w/o Naraku around
 • Kikyo and Inuyasha would be hitched and Inuyasha would give up his demon side.
 • Sango and Miroku would be married as well. The final ep would reveal that Sango is now carrying Miroku's child.
 • It would be revealed that Kikyo is Kagome's ancestor (cmon, you theorized this too!)
 • Kagura, Kanna, and Hakudoshi would be dead too, unable to maintain themselves w/o Naraku

Hmm. I would have it end about 52 episodes in. Honestly, there is no reason for a show to last that long. o_o I would also have Kikyo die and stay dead.

Yep. XD

well, consider at what episode they're at...I think the best choice would be to pull an Eva style ending. (Eva fans kno wat I mean. And ya, I'm not exactly a fan of Inuyasha)

Fixed (since there are a few shows with a good excuse to be that long =p ).

But yeah, I haven't seen much of it anyways (and don't really plan to), so I'm not sure what to say about it...

...except that THAT should never, ever, EVER happen again. >_<

Naraku good and dead AT LONG LAST... and that's about it that I would really hope for :/

Any kind of ending would be okay with me. I was so ticked off by the abmiguity. I like the show, but after the show went on for so long, the "ending" just seemed a bit lazy to me. Seriously, anything would be fine as long as there's some finality to it. I do like the idea of actually showing Miroku and Sango getting married though. That would certainly bring some much needed finality to that plot line.

By the way, maybe we shouldn't be having a discussion about how mediocre the show is on a thread specifically about the show.

I think it would be cool if Inuyasha would end up in the preasent with Kagome
Kikyo finnally pass on along with kohaku
Miroku and Songo run off merrily together
Shishomaru waiting for 10 years or so when that little girl following him is older
Koga settling down with that other wolf chick
and finnally shippo get ran over by an out of control ox cart and dying in the most painful manner possible with no one there all alone the maggots feating on his flesh tail being made into a nifty hat by the local towns children( I dont like shippo very much)

This one has a good excuse.
Popularity.
Just like you with One Piece, InuYasha fans don't want to end.

I personally have never seen an episode of InuYasha. I actually find it TOO bizarre, which from me, says alot. I may eventually give it a chance though.

Wow, someone hasn't seen too many anime^^ As far as all the stuff I've seen, Inuyasha is one of the more cliche-normal ones :/

I haven't followed up with Inuyasha in quite some time...you mean to tell me Kikyo is BACK...AGAIN!??!?

The last I heard, Kikyo was dead...for the 2nd time! They dedicated a whole freaking episode to Yasha's sadness and grief over it! Please tell me she's not alive...so to speak...again!

Sango and Miroku would be married as well. The final ep would reveal that Sango is now carrying Miroku's child.

You know, I can predict how their delivery will go...

My Fanfiction Story "Hope, Light and Key Lime Pie" wrote: "Ma’am! Ma’am! You have got to quit smacking your husband and concentrate on your breathing if you want to get this baby out of here!"

"It’s all his fault anyway! He was the one who fed me the ol’ "bear my child" line and I was fool enough to fall for it!" the young woman growled as she whapped her mate on the cheek again.

"Ow!" he cried, rubbing his now purple cheek. "Look, San—"

"You lecherous monk! Keep your hands off me!"

"How can I be lecherous?! I married you for God’s sake!"

You got it. It was at this point that I truly decided there was no hope left for this show as far as I was concerned. XD

According to the manga spoilers I have seen Kagura was in fact killed by Naraku.
But this happens later on in the manga.
As far as the ending I think it should be:
*Either Inuyasha or Sesshomaru destory Miroku
*Kanna and Kohaku are freed by his death
*Miroku and Sango marry
*Kagome returns home to the present where she's finally able to catch up and pass all her tests
*Kagome and Hojo become a couple
*Inuyasha mourns for Kikyo's death

I have seen a plentiful amount of anime, my friend.

I contradicted myself in my previous post. I HAVE seen AN episode which is where I base my opinion upon, but I myself do not follow the series.

They would've killed Naraku LONG before the series got as repetitive as it did. By the time we learned who Naraku was, it was time to kill him and end it.

Rumiko Takahashi can write very well done short stories, but can't keep a series interesting for long.

I mean, good grief, It didn't take THIS Long to get rid of Cell in DragonBall Z! (Granted the battle scenes were ridiculiously long...) Is it REALLY that hard to kill off ONE GUY!? COME ON!!

XD Poor Miroku.
Kikyo died for good recently in the manga, about 5 chapters ago. Yes, I'm sure she's really dead.

lol i wouldnt say that. i thought she was really dead when naraku pushed her into the flowing river of miasma or lava or whatever it was but still came back. shes like a mosquito that just wont die. :p
ok i would end it

miroku and sango getting married and her carrying his child finally.
naraku dies by inuyashas adamant barage (of course this being after the long dramatic battle)
kikyo kills herself for good because even she knows that she has come back from the dead far to many times and needs to just die....and not come back. lol.
inuyasha stays half demon and finally (with kikyo being dead) only has eyes for kagome.
kohaku ends up living without the jewel shard
kagura ends up living even tho naraku is dead
seshomarru(later down the road when rin is much older) gets togather with rin...despite the fact that she is human...i mean it hasnt bothered him this far
The group goes on fighting other demons that try to take naraku's place, kagome finding a way to keep going back and forth to the past and..............................................the show finally ends :D

oh and hojo chokes on one of his healthy dried up lizards,
or
hojo gets togather with one of kagomes friends at the Wac donalds :p

OHHHHHHH, NO!!! We've had enough long Yasha/Naraku battles! I want the final battle to be 15 minutes, not one minute longer! The rest of the show should ONLY focus on wrapping up character plot lines and a nice soft song to fade to black on!

Naraku kills Inuyasha, Kagome, Sesshoumaru, Miroku, Sango, and all the rest, and then turns out to be some historical figure from that period.

Okay, so it's a let-down ending, but I've seen worse.

You and me both--

 • .hack//sign ending was pretty loose...
 • Eva's ending was completely weird...
 • Outlaw Star's ending was just plain confusing...
 • FLCL's ending was...basically...a Gainax-style ending...I'm still mad over Naota's uniform!

eh at least it would wrap up the ending instead of leaving it like they did. it would be a really crappy ending but an ending none the less. lol

btw when i said a long dramatic battle i meant one that maby lasted an episode. nothing like DBZ where it takes a month just for goku to get to teh fight then another month for him to fight the bad guy. im all for the shorter endings just not "inuyasha stabbed naraku's heart and he died. " lol

That ending would remind me of Escaflowne if that historical figure turns out to be Sir Isaac Newton.

Nooo, we all know Naraku is really Michael Jackson!!

Honestly, though, I'm happy with ANY ending, so long as it happens soon and doesn't involve Inuyasha being reincarnated as Hojo or Kagome turning into a hanyou herself.

Too much fanficiton is bad.

All the main characters cross over into some trippy, red, evil-looking world where everybody is pointlessly, brutally slaughtered except for Sesshomaru, who becomes some sort of demon-godling.
