I usually give a show several episodes before I make a decision about it. I barely got through the first episode of Bobobo. I never could bring myself to bother watching any further.

I don't understand. It's been on CN for more than a year. How can it just now be licensed?

Ditto. I didn't think much of it at first, but after watching that one, I was strangely sucked into it...

Really, it has been licensed, just no North American distribution rights.
Toei Animation is the one to do the production of show and has the license for it. Toei has been keeping alot of animes that they make for their self as doing the distribution them out, but that has failed. In some cases, they were sitting still on anime here and not doing two things.
One: Sell the rights to the anime to another place that could do the distribution.
Two: they would sell it only to 4kids to do the distribution or Toei doing it.
I hope that they are learning their leason for this and maybe they will have a change of heart and sell or do the distribution for One Piece uncut.

Well I think it's werid that they're doing it to a shwo like Bobo which isn't quite that popular as One Piece. I mean, there's petitions on the net for One Piece and a HUGE fanbase can be found, unlike Bobo... :/

Let me put this way, the way things have been ran at Toei offices here in the states as of late, have been werid.

Bobobo is one of those guilty pleasure anime that you watch when nobody else is around, and would NEVER admit to ANYONE that you love!
With the new License, what's going to change?

Bobobo has a pretty big fanbase itself, actually. Not as big as One Piece, but I know plenty of people who still enjoy Bobobo, though yes, there's been no petitions on it (probably because it was actually treated well in America =p ).
