Info from ANN.

Anime News Network wrote:Anime News Network has learned that the title has been licensed by ADV Films. When contacted, ADV Films declined to confirm the license. An official announcement, is expected soon. Le Chevalier D'Eon was produced by Production I.G and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi. It is currently airing every Saturday in Japan on WOWOW, with the 11th episode (of an expected 25) airing this past weekend.

If they do, that is sure is fast. Since this is a new anime that just came out in Japan this fall.

I'm somewhat interested in this. It's certainly an original setting for an anime. I'd like to see anime be more creative in branching out into different world/historical settings, rather than just past/present/future Japan and various fantasy worlds.

Check out the ANN Enclyopedia under anime titles, there are several that have
French sounding names.
btw:NOIR is set partly in France,so the use of France as a setting in anime isn't new.
