which former AU title do you think would work on CN?

With G4 possibly going off the air, I've realized that lots of the anime they showed on Anime Unleashed would now be up for grabs. Which shows do you think would work on CN? Personally, I think Last Exile would be a great show for Toonami, it's mostly clean and they won't even need to edit it.

I'd place all my bets on R.O.D. The TV. With AS having the OVA, it's only natural, plus it has a stellar dub and a lot of amazing actions scenes, and an EXCELLENT plot!

NOte: All votes for Gatekeepers 21 will count as votes for Last Exile. I forgot to list that one.

Agreed. Though I actually haven't seen the TV series, I have seen most of the OVA, so I imagine it would be pretty easy for AS to get the rights to show it on their station.

I would love to see them all end up on CN if possible, especially Silent Mobius and
Dual. However I voted my prejudice and voted Silent Mobius.
YUKI SAIKO RULES!

I would imagine Rahxephon since they already played NGE

Except that RahXephon is the only full series that AU has that is already already fits
G4's new format. So IF they do come back I doubt that AU would want to give it up.
The only other series that fit the new format are Colorful and Cromartie High.
Just pointing out a reason why RahXephon might not be avaible IF AU ever returns.

Trivia:
*Kelly Sheridan,Paul Dobson and Janyse Jaud all worked on the dubs of both Silent Mobius and Inuyasha.
*The voice of the central villianness in the second Inuyasha movie was voiced by
the actress who played Katsumi in the dub of Silent Mobius.
*KAGOME,KAGOME is both the name of an Silent Mobius episode and also the name of the title
singing game that Nami plays with her younger self.

You also forgot Gungrave, which would have been my vote. Of the others, Abenoboshi is the only one that seems like a good fit to me. I guess Boogiepop and Lain might have an outside shot.

But what's this about G4 going off the air? Please tell me it's likely.

If I picked what would be shown on CN I would pick a comedy and a serious
series.
With my anime old club we would have a showing of a favorite series followed by a comedy and then maybe a serious and something after that.
I think I would like to see Initial D on CN.

If Initial D has ever been on Anime Unleashed, it's news to me.

But I don't think you'd want it on CN anyway, since it would be the egregious Tokyopop dub. ID's now-dated computer-generated visuals would never fly on TV these days anyhow.

I think I have seen just about everything that aired on AU and as far as I can recall
Initial D did not run on it.

I just brought Inital D up as a possible anime that should be shown on CN anyway. It was one of the series that my club watched during meetings.

The OAV has been shown on CN, but not the TV series.

AU got the rights to the tv series.

I would like to see a few of them make it to CN, but it maybe a bit if they were to get them.

After all, AU may have sign a long contact for the rights to show those animes and they may sit on them untill the contact runs out.

From what I understand the reason why AU hasn't been on is because the only ones that were fit for the new current format of G4 were:RahXephon,Colorful and
Cromartie High,as I think I already said before.

As far as it goes the best chances of any AU show getting acquired by AS would be
R.O.D.The Tv since they already showed the OVA,Gungrave since it would be rather popular in some quarters,Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi since it is by
Gainax the same people that did FLCL and Neon Genesis Evangelion,Last Exile
maybe and probably Lain.

Huh? So what about GK21 fans? I mean, not that i think it fits in on Cartoon Network... The most Cartoon Network worthy shows on AU were

Soul Taker
Read or Die
Silent Mobius...

Wait, when did AU get Magical Shopping District? That seemed to be firmly AS material...

The best shows on AU were the ones that would NEVER make it to Cartoon Network... Lain, Boogiepop, Crest/Banner of the stars...

Lain is a show that you have to take as a whole... Any edit would take away some meaning from it, including editing out the scene with Alice and the Teacher... Considering Adult Swim is marketed to teens (haha, the irony) that scene could NEVER make it on... Yeah, statuatory rape is definately a topic that could get Cartoon Network in hot water.

It was one of the first shows they added post-G4 merger.
I agree with Lain, any editing would kill the purpose of the series. Also there is that rather violent scene where Lain and Anti-Lain are struggling with each other.
Anti-Lain jokes about:"Look at me I'm killing myself!"
Then the entire Lain as peeping tom spying on Alice. Also the ending might confuse people who see it for the first time even more than the ending of Paranoia Agent.

Why wouldn't they want Crest/Banner of the Stars?Aside from a couple scenes they don't have much of either nudity or fanservice.Or could it simply be that AS isn't interested in space operas?
