I saw the first ep a day or two ago... I'm not sure what to make of it yet. The story and setting were pretty interesting, but it just seemed to be hitting a ton of typical shounen cliches.
Still, I'll keep watching this one, as the plot definitely has potential. And I loved the main villian. Reminded me of Pierrot from Bebop.

You underestimate me, Ryan. XD I watched it the moment the raw hit the internet like a good obsessive fan.
OVERALL! I'm quite pleased with how they translated the manga into an anime. While I was a bit skeptical of the opening and ending themes (they seemed too typical anime - I was hoping for something more gothic sounding), Allen's seiyuu impressed me, and the way they did the Earl was AMAZING. He scares me to death, but seeing him in that first episode made me very optimistic about the rest of the series.
They did cut out a mini-arc that's supposed to come between this first episode and Allen's arrival at the Black Order HQ, and that disappointed me a little bit as it's where Allen's cursed eye is explained in the manga. Also, they snipped the fact that Akuma cry from the anime, which was an interesting detail in the manga.
XD But that's just me being nitpicky. I'm very excited to see more of this. <3

I saw it. I thought it was pretty decent for a first episode.
I'm still skeptical about making an anime of this with only 8-10 volumes worth of content out. It will likely either hit filler quickly or end short and probably have a garbage ending.

i might check this anime out too. but as master dias said, there will probably be filler episodes early on in the series.

I dont know who did the earl and phyllo in roots, but that guy sure can do a creepy old man voice well. I was somewhat impressed with what I saw, but I will have to see more later on.
