OK, I thought that with the US version of Inuyasha winding down, we'd give it the proper memorial. So, who is your favorite Inuyasha character and what is your favorite episode?
My favorite character would definitely be Kagome. I like her spunk and unquenchable spirit. I also like the fact that she cares about everyone so much, even Kikyo (I was so surprised when she revived her!). Besides, someone has to keep Inuyasha in line. ("Sit boy!" "Sit, sit, sit, sit, sit boy!" )
My favorite episode is the one where they met the Soul Piper. It reminded me of my favorite fairy tale, The Pied Piper of Hamelin. And it was such a touching story, too. I also like the one where Sango makes Miroku promise to marry her after they kill Naraku. Whenever that is.

I have no clue what the English title is, but my favorite episode is probably ep. 81 (and the whole set up for it). I felt that was the climax of the anime's quality... My favorite filler episode was ep 128 (the one where the youkai are in Kagome's school). I laughed so hard....

For the manga, which is still going... my favorite chapters are 374 (Kaze or Wind) and the recent Sesshoumaru chapters... *grin*

And for the record, I always thought "Osuwari" rolled off the tongue better than "Sit boy" =]

Favorite characters would be:
Kagome
Inuyasha
Sango
Miroku
Kagura
Favorite background characters would be:
Hojo and Kagome's three friends especially Eri
Favorite episode:
That's a hard one.I think I better wait until later on after the finale has aired.
However one of my favorites is the two parter consisting of:The Female Wolf-Demon And The Lunar Rainbow Promise and Koga's Bride To Be.
I also liked Gap Between The Ages filler and a lot of the other ones that took place
in the modern times Japan, just because they were a good respite from the usual
quest for the jewel shards in feudal Japan episodes that make up the balk of episodes.

My favortire character is Inuyasha and my favorite episode... hm. I've only seen up to season 2 of the anime and a handful of episodes after that. But I really like the ones with cool fight scenes and Inuyasha/Kagome squish.

Because of the number of volumes this series has (will be over 50 when it is fully released) I have resolved only to collect the box sets, of which only 3 have been released thus far, and the movies. Because of that I am only half way through the series. I can't really pinpoint a favorite episode, however, in regard to a favorite character I would have to say Sango. Despite her profession and tragic past she remains a strong character with decent morals and understanding of the needs of others.

Only a few more weeks left until the end of the anime.

Don't get your hopes up for the ending, as it doesn't wrap anything up at all... especially not the current arc about Hakudoshi and Naraku's heart.

But that is why the manga is still continuing.

It's interesting that in the dub Kagome is my favorite character but from the one
episode I have seen of the sub I would say so far in the subbed version it would be
Kikyo that was my favorite.Anyone else have a different favorite in the sub from
the dub?

Filler time on Monday.Though it looks to be one of the funnier ones.I mean if you noticed the preview Inuyasha tries to fix Kagome's bike using the new "Adamant
Discharge" or whatever it's called.Must see just to see how **** she's gonna get at him!

I'd have to say my favorite character is Sesshoumaru or Shippou. Both have fluffy tails (or is that a boa Sesshoumaru hauls around with him?).

I was seriously disappointed by the non-ending ending though. I'll have to start reading the manga to find out what really happens in the end.

glad to know im not the only one dissapointed w/ the ending.

anyways my fav. characters are

kagome
inuyasha
shippo
seshomarru
and rin

fav. episodes...
the one where inuyasha breaks kagomes bike and tries to fix it w/ the adamant barage...it really is funny how mad she gets at him for it.

my other fav. episode of course includes my other fav characters.

where rin gets captured by the demon that collects kids and sesshoumaru comes to the rescue. it has one of the sweetest endings i have seen that included sesshoumaru if you ask me.

Favorite Character: Sango, but I also really like Kagura.

Favorite Episode: The episode were the taijiya are killed. It was so sad and I really felt it. That got me hooked not only the series, but anime in general.

I think I might be the only one who actually loved the finale.

I have the DVD that has Ayame in it.

Hi Mitsuki lover!

It wasn't that I hated the finale, it's just that it seemed more like the end of a good story arc within the series than the end of the series. I guess I like my endings to be more definitive with the bad guy pulverized and unable to pull off any more nefarious plans, and I want the hero to get the girl in the last scene. Or at least kiss the girl. There was no kissing at all! What sort of an ending is that?

Does anyone know if they're planning another Inuyasha movie that rounds out the series? They did it with Full Metal Alchemist and it worked out well.

The problem with the inyuasha ending is that it wasnt really an ending and the proble is that that characterizes a great deal of anime the create lots of sub plots work with tons of character development and then the end the show without resolving 9/10 of what they started, or in cases such as Inuyasha they dont even resolve the main plot of the entire series killing naraku.

To point out again the very important fact that Inuyasha isn't over,it's only the ANIME that is finished. The series continues in the MANGA.Rumiko Takahashi decided to end the ANIME when she did so she could get back to concentrate on other projects such as Ranma 1/2 while at the some time working on finishing Inuyasha in MANGA form. There are places on the internet where you can get spoilers of the current chapters of the MANGA.
From what I have read and understand it appears that 2 pivotal characters are now
dead.
(No NOT Kagome and Inuyasha.)
We will need to be patient and wait for the final chapters to get translated and published in North America. So far the translation seems to be only as far as the
Band of Seven story arch.So it will be awhile before the TRUE ending is translated and published here.

so what about the poor kids who dont buy the mangas do you think they may come out with a short ova or movie that can wrap things up for that group

and from what I hear the ranma 1/2 series ends basically the same way everything continues as always

To my knowledge, the only older Takahashi title that is being revisited is One Pound Gospel. I have not heard anything in regard to Ranma 1/2 getting additional attention from her.

From what I read she wanted to get back and finish up Ranma 1/2.
For those who don't want to buy the manga, perhaps you could try to find one of the sites that has spoilers for the manga.
Actually the manga is only $8.95 per issue so as manga go it is rather cheap.

but people like me are like manga must have entire series oohhh moann
issue 12 just looks so lonly by itself he needs friends and the such
and when you buy all of them they add up to like 100s and that is what makesm
me sad

I love that episode to.. the Soul Piper one. It made me cry the first time I saw it. As everyone here knows by now (by the way I rpg), I'm a very sentimental/emotional person. I love little kids, so when I saw what happend.. my tears was streaming (sobs).

As for my favorite character... I would also have to say Kagome, but then thrre's Ayame to, and Kikyo to. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, I can't decide (head explodes)! I love Sessy, but...

I took the Inu quizzes at Otaku.com and always got either Kagome or Kikyo, but I think I'm also like Ayame. Yes, I can imagine it saying something to do with being "NAIVE". Yes, Sskura is very naive and trust worthy (hahaha). Alright, I'll shut up now

Wait, would you guys like to join "Inuyasha: Feudal Fairy Tale"

Thanks Mitsuki lover for the heads up about the manga continuing. Though I'm not thrilled about waiting for them to translate it into English! How many years behind the Japanese manga is the English translated version? Sigh. Patience is a virtue I don't have.

I'm afraid that that won't help you too much. Ms Takahashi is not well known for finishing series. To date, the long running series of hers with a definitive ending is Maison Ikkoku.

My favorite character is Sango. She is a strong fighter, yet retains a gentle spirit in spite of all that's happened to her.
