So a priest, a nun, and an android walk into a bar...

:sniffle: Am I the only one looking forward to Trinity Blood? Or has there already been a thread about it and that thread was removed?

I first heard about Trinity Blood when another CAA member mentioned it a while back. It's based on a novel or novel series, I can't quite remember. I love anime based on novels, they tend to have so much more plot! And this one looks like it is going to have lots of twists and turns so those of us who like to think as part of being entertained will be happy. Of course, I'm basing this on the hopes of a good English dub and nothing to blasphemous being present since we are looking at a portrayl of the church by the Japanese in a supernatural ficticious universe. Still I have high hopes.

I am looking quiet forword to this. I have heard it is like Trigun mixed with Hellsing so it should be really cool.

It's a mix of several series. The only VA I recognize from ANN's description of the series is Colleen Clickenbeard who played Riza on FMA.

You are not the only one, though my anticipation is somewhat lessened because I saw the dub preview and also some Japanese episodes. So I am somewhat familiar with the series. For example, I can tell you that the anime was based on a manga which was based on a series of novels.

As to your worries, if they may be called that, I believe I can put some of them to rest. The dub is, in my opinion, roughly the same as the sub. However, you should know that I generally think that about most anime. Regarding the blasphemy thing... well, the author either intentionally changed details or didn't research the Catholic Church at all. But in terms of individual characters, things are much better than, for example, Hellsing. The main character is a priest and his faith actually affects his actions, which is at times about all that can be hoped for.

I want to see it pretty badly. It looks so pretty. I don't care if the story's a ripoff.

I wouldn't call it a ripoff any more than I would call all the mecha series currently or that have aired ripoffs of the original Gundam or all the magic girl shows ripoffs of Sailor Moon.Once someone comes up with a good idea others are bound to follow.Just look at,for example, all of the quest type fantasy series that have been printed since Tolkien originally came out with LOTR.
