I find I don't zonk out when it airs before Inuyasha, primarily because I don't want to miss Inuyasha! :thumb:
Ok to be serious I have enjoyed what I have seen of Eureka 7.Though in Saturday's episode I thought Holland was being a bit brutal with Renton
after the old miner had him take out the Nervash(sp?).I mean it wasn't Renton's fault the guy had a GUN on him at the time.
Looks like Renton and Eureka's relationship is continuing to deterioate.
Now he won't talk to her.

Yes but he was rebuked for it as well. I also think Renton and Eureka's relationship can come back

I watch it almost every week. I'm glad I stuck around even though the pacing's a little slow. It's gotten quite interesting. The Nirvash takes me back to Transformers every time it goes Land mode.

ya but that one girl (cant think of her name at the moment but the one w/ the flower on her cheek) told holland to stop taking his problems out on renton cause it wasnt his fault so that made it better a little.

oh and i know this is off topic but have they stopped showing new inuyasha episodes all togather now?

I'm digging Eureka 7. It has elements of NGE, Gundam, FLCL, and even some Fullmetal Alchemist influence (at least IMO).

As far as the Eureka/Renton relationship... it was funny to hear
Eureka kick the door
at the end of the last ep. (At least that was how I took it.) do think their will come around in some way, though [speculation, not spoilers] it will probably take a twist in the end such that they don't end up together (this is anime, after all). E7 has at least 50 eps, though, so we have a long time to see how it will end up. From what I've read, the show gets a little more bizarre toward the end.

Interestingly, Adult Swim's most updated schedule shows them continuing to run new episodes through December. Originally the plan was to go into reruns after ep. 26 (which would have occurred in October). It could be that ratings have been less than what they hoped for and that they're trying to get through the program as quickly as possible. On the other hand, it could be that they learned their lesson with Fullmetal Alchemist (when they cut FMA off at ep. 26, it really seemed to hurt its momentum in terms of ratings), and that with Bleach and Trinity Blood coming aboard, AS is hoping for a rebirth of its Saturday night block (with 3 episode premieres each week). We shall see how it goes, God willing.

Her name's Talho. ]i know this is off topic but have they stopped showing new inuyasha episodes all togather now?
They're taking a break from them right now, but Adult Swim is supposed to premiere some new episodes beginning in mid-October.

As I posted in the "what anime are you watching?" thread, I finished it last night, and it's the best "boy-meets-girl" story ever. Everyone who is watching this, please keep watching. It just gets better and better.

yes, i watch eureka seven too...i luv the colors and the animation. storys a bit confusing to me, but it intrests me enough to keep watching it. yes, renton's a bit of a dork, but he sure didn't deserve the beating he got from that meanie holland. thank God for his sister tahlo though. (big sister instincts...i would know *strikes fighting pose*)

That was a bit of a bruise Holland gave him.Though why no-one held Holland back
BEFORE he could have hit Renton is another question altogether, apparently he caught everyone off guard.

Odd thing is, I used to follow it, but since I've been buying anime DVD's every Saturday, and I check out a bunch of DVD's from my library, I tend to watch those first before watching E7...

I'm kinda lost now...forgive me! :?:

Does anyone know when they'll start the reruns or will it be brought into the Monday-Thursday anime rotation?

Gimme a break! Anime is hard to come by in Louisiana, and when you DO find it in places like Suncoast, WaldonBooks, or Best Buy, it's sky-freaking-high! I buy used! Now, if I find a set of used E7 DVD's, I'll consider it!

But anyways how long is the series? 26eps?

I heard somewhere that it was 57 eps. I could be wrong.

Ohh other people like this show. I love the subtle romance btwn Renton and Odeka (sp?). It is so cute and the kids are cute too. Honestly, I fast forward through most of the fighting, Thanks Tivo.

It's an interesting mecha series, but as characters go I like Hajiki from Gad Guard
a bit better than Renton.

Sometimes when I do watch E7, I can't help but compare Renton to Studio Gainax's other blue eyed, brown haired male protagonists: Shinji from NGE and Naota from FLCL...in a way, the're alike in personality. Anyone else think so?

That's what I thought too! Although, I think he's more mentally well-adjusted than poor Shinji.

heh ya i have to agree with you on that one. shinji is just depressing. As for naota i guess its only natural that renton would look and act a bit like him i mean didnt the same person do both of the shows?

Just to clarify, this makes it sound like Renton is one of Gainax's blue eyed, brown haired male protagonists, and E7 is not a Gainax show. They did some animation work on a few episodes, but credit for the series goes to studio BONES. I know that's probably not what you meant, I just want to make sure people reading don't get the wrong idea.

If anything Renton's more like Noata in look and attitude than Shinji.

I think Holland can be one of the most blind charecters.
Not beliving Renton, and then not to let him pilot the nearvash is shear stupity, he is going to reget both.
I think Holland simply has a blind spot for Renton because of who Renton's sister is.
If you listened carefully to the conversation on the Gekkostate yesterday that seemed to be the gist of his problem with Renton.
Yet again he lets Renton have it without even listening to his side of the story.

Ahar! The Nirvash went completely Zelda on them KLF's.

If you didn't see it on the Fix last night, look for it on Adult Swim tonight.

#20 is one of the best episodes I've seen so far.

Yea Renten was driven crazy, but he also has a lot of skill, I don't think he'll be a kid much longer

I was really surprised at the past few episodes. o_o
I've honestly been kinda "meh" towards this series until now.... Last night's eppy was intense! I'm actually pretty excited about the next episode--which is saying a lot, because I've never really been excited about seeing more Eureka 7. Did they get a new writer, or something? O_o
