Shin Angyo Onshi and Utawarerumono from ADV, and School Rumble for Funi

Unfortunately, Utawarerumono's name is getting butchered. While I can understand a name change from a marketing standpoint, the name they're going with is just stupid -- Shadow Warrior Chronicles.

Shin Angyo Onshi will be released as Blade of the Phantom Mask.

But ask yourself, which would be a more total obliteration of the show's name--
The Shadow Warrior Chronicles or whatever gross mispronounciations of the Japanese name that the show would get stuck with?

I'd be perfectly fine with a translated approximation.

Utawarerumono translates roughly to "The One Being Sung", which I think would be a really cool title.

I'm not really interested in anything ADV has been announcing lately. However, I'll be all over the School Rumble releases. I've been waiting for that announcement for awhile now.

Hahaha, yes, I agree, "The One Being Sung" would have been a much better choice. Shadow Warrior Chronicles just doesn't seem to fit the series, though. Well, ok, yeah, it's about a warrior whose life is hidden in shadows, but...Utaware just sounds so much cooler. Besides, even though the title they chose does kind of like...fit the story a little...it's almost too obvious. XD

yes! I'm super happy about school rumble. The manga is kind of diificult to understand, the charactars all looks the same. But I think this would make an awesome anime. I'm always for more shojoish anime.
