Do any of you find yourselves becoming like the anime characters you see in your favorite animes? Do you react simiarly when parallel situations arise?

Thankfully, no. For the most part, anime characters don't act like I would want to in normal situations.

My life is an anime/manga series...

It just hasn't been published yet.

If they did though, they'd call it "The Crazy Gaikokujin".

I'd consider it something of a bad thing if I begin to see my life as some kind of anime, because that would mean that a fake reality have imposed itself to such an extent on my mind that I discarding what is real. In short, I'll probably lose my individuality and only become something that is a shadow of something fake.

Oh dear. The things I think...

Actually... I do I find myself responding to bad jokes and weird things in anime the same way some of the characters do when i watch it...

I find myself tilting my head half closing my eyes and going "gong" as though I was just hit with a wash tub... But thats usually only when I'm watching anime...

But other things have seeped in to my life... I find my self waving my hand absentmindedly, or making goofy faces when something happens, or even making those weird bishounen poses when in deep thought...

But... I guess those are more of mannerisms...

I don't know about my personality but...my hair has been striken with the plague. I'll try any colours, any styles...it's probably a good job my hair is never long enough to go visual kei :S

I know a girl that attempts to act like a catgirl (the random noises and the random jumping on people and violence) and its seriously annoying. Anime is fiction and a person that tries to act like it is going to annoy people.

Ohho, that reminds me. Im very good at "nya"ing and purring, so I think that counts for this as well.

Not in mannerisms,no.But after watching Gundam Seed and some of Gundam Wing and Trigun I've become more of a Pacifist in the mode of
Relena,Lacus and Vash and Rem.

hmm...I guess sometimes I occasionally will act like an anime character...I try not to..but sometimes I like to spread my arms wide when I walked up to someone I know (like Haru did to Yuki in Fruits Basket)

I say yo and oi a lot to... ^^; and I also say english words the way a japanese person would...but it's usually when I am really hyper..

I occasionally put my hand up when I'm trying to call someone or talk to someone, much like Tomo does when she announces something.

I find myself frightenly similar to Edward Elric, though I don't beat the junk out of people when insulted. (I'm not short, I just see my attitudes and expressions mirrored a lot when I read FMA)

Thankfully no. In anime, someone my age is either an evil villain or a deviant or an incompetant parent or guardian. I'd rather not pick up those traits

The closest I've ever come to "becoming anime" was through cosplaying, and even then, I still would do a crappy job trying to play the part. ;)

I used to be prone to theatrical gesticulation and wanton self-aggrandizement, but those traits predated my anime addiction.

Hard to say for me. I'm definitely becoming more like Kurgone in Tasubasa Chronicles more then I would admit, but then again, I'm noticing character traits of anime characters that parallel alot of my friends, oh well, lol!

I find myself using one-liners from anime alot. Recently I was trying to get the kids to do something or another and I said, "All good pirates obey their mom!" and my oldest said, "That is SO true!" which is from Castle in the Sky. We both just fell down laughing.

I still waiting to use my favorite line of all: "I'm as normal as they come, and this is a contest of freaks!" which is of course Hughes in Fullmetal Alchemist. Come to think of it, as far as behavior goes, I'm probably alot like Hughes in that I will pester anyone about my wonderful, exceptionally cute children!

Actually sometimes when Im hyper or really happy about something ill go into what I call "Chibi Me" its hard to describe exactly what it is i jsut act like a Chibi version of myself. My friends think its funny although they do it too they just havent named it yet.

Me and my friends have also devised a series of hand signalls that represent different things like (...), or :stressed: and never forget my favorite the .

Yes i know pathetic.

I find myself acting more and more like the bubbly, hyper anime girls. That's really not my personality, but I am just picking up their mannerisms. But, it's honestly good because I appear happier and it makes my friends laugh. God forbid I start acting like Osaka, space cadet.

Ha!Ha! But you're forgetting Jet on Cowboy Bebop, he's 36 I think, and he's not evil or deviant. I was going to point out that Hiko on Kenshin is 43, but he probably falls under the incompetant guardian category!

Sometimes I slip into Kenshin-talk, that I do. Argh! I did it again!

I'm starting to do that cutsie laugh; the one where their eyes completely shut and they make this cute little noise. I think it's a sign that I watch too much anime :)
