CAA: Christian Anime Alliance

Just saw the finale for Yu Yu Hakusho. I can now say that YYH is so much better than DBZ.
And here's why:

• NO ONE can trash talk better than Yusuke
• No Yu Yu Hakusho GT, Yu Yu hakusho Z, or even Yu Yu Hakusho AF
• Yusuke is actually clever as well as a good fighter. Goku petty much uses the same strategy every time
• Genkai is much funnier than Master Roshi

i would agree i beleave even tho i am not a big fan of either

I agree too, I love Yu-Yu Hakusho. Excellent anime series.

Haven`t seen Yu Yu. From what I did see, it looked like DBZ meets Scooby Doo for the millionth time.

I can`t decide if DBZ is better than Yu, but DBZ is much more of a classic anime. Sort of the dawn of its popularity in the US started with the Dragon Ball franchise.

And then Ark spoke wisdom to the masses, and he said.

Yeah i think its way better then the Dragon Z seroise.

*cracks up* True, though. Opinion is opinion. However, I'll add to the latter category - I liked it a lot, and I'd prob'ly like it better than DBZ. But didn't they both have infernally long (read: multi-episode) fight sequences?

I think it would probably be more fair to say "infernally long (read: multi-episode) talk sequences." Because there actually isn't much fighting, which is what annoys me. Not that I'd approve of an actual fight scene that lasted that long.

Yu Yu Hakusho ran during the height of DBZ's popularity in Japan, but it started early enough that it can't be called a rip-off (I don't mean to say you claimed this, it is just vaguely implicit). Just typical shonen.

I am speaking to anyone who feels that there opinion is Gospel. When I wrote that, it was directed towards Rocklobster.

YYH seems interesting enough, but I hear it wound up kind of going the same way as DBZ later on anyways...

Anyways DBZ was befor YYH so it was probly inspired by it.

I personally don't see what the big deal about professing one's opinions on CAA...

I mean...CAA is made up of Opinions...O_o If someone likes something, shouldn't be allowed to say so?

Anyway..I haven't seen either to the end, but I did think the storyline was more developed in YYH, PLUS it has Kurama...and he is a fox demon..GOTTA love da foxes! ^_^

Yu Yu Hakusho is a little better than DB or DBZ or DBZGTXYZBLAHBLAH. X.x I like DBZ too though. As far as "mediocre" anime goes, they're both good. YYH has Heiei though...soo...it gets my vote! ^-^ Despite it's rather...erm...demonic themes.

Cute isn't exactly the adjective I'd use to describe most of Toriyama's artwork...but whatever...

Well, Yu Yu isn't near as drawn out as DBZ. If anything, look at the manga length. YYH had a run of 19 volumes, which is actually slightly on the short side for popular shonen fighting manga.

Yeah, i must admit, Yu Yu Hakusho is WAY better drawn, but DBZ is an old faveortie so i must side with it. <.>
