Poll: Which of these would you like to see licensed?

This month's AI had a top 10 titles that have yet to be licensed. I've posted them above. Of the ones listed, Bleach, Future Boy Conan, Doraemon, and Legend of the Galatic Heroes are certainly on my list.

Actually, it's not confirmed officially. But that's already been addressed in annother thread. It's really hard to pick just one out of those, but I would say (much to MSP's delight) Monster. It was real close between that and Bleach, but Monster is so unique and thought-provoking.

Wha--? Where's Honey and Clover!? XD

I guess, in light of the shocking lack of Hachikuro, I'll have to go with Beck.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Doraemon is implausible. It's too Japanese and far too long with several thousand episodes and several dozen movies. It would take years and years to release it all and I can't see any companies really spending that much time or effort on it. The series is around 5 times the size of Detective Conan...
Although, I suppose they could only choose to release select episodes.

Bleach is a given.

Beck will probably be licensed eventually whether or not Funimation has it like the rumors were stating awhile back.

Future Boy Conan is old but it looks like it has the Nadia or Castle in the Sky adventure feel to it. I wouldn't mind seeing this.

Monster would also be interesting.

The Hunter X Hunter anime is probably going to be licensed by Viz.

Versailles and LGH are both series I want to see, though I'd bet it unlikely due to the age of Versailles and the unconventional distribution of LGH (done via mail order)

Anime on DVD wrote:Viz Media on Bleach (09:50 AM EST): Due to the nature of the C21 Media article being a pay subscription service (the company is quite reputable in its industry), we can't quote the full article due to copyright considerations. There has been some initial confusion among folks based on hearing quotes from the European part of Viz Media but this is the quote in addition to the header that I feel is most relevant to indicating that the title is licensed: "Bleach is one of the big heavy hitters coming out of Japan, for which we have pretty big expectations. It is a very highly rated show on TV Tokyo at the moment," said John Easum, executive VP of Viz Media." And, of course, with the article title being "Japanese animé and manga licensor Viz Media has acquired its first title aimed at the older teen and young adult demo." it seems to back that up as well. Bleach's manga has long been acquired and released and C21 Media doesn't exactly cover manga as breaking news.

Or am I missing something?

OK, so Viz hasn't explicitly said, "Yes, we liscenced it" yet.

I kept saying to myself "Bleach or Monster? Bleach or Monster?"

Well, now that Bleach has been confirmed as licensed, I'm voting Monster.

I would rather they have releases in japanese with subtitles, the dubs take so much out of a show... I hope Bleach will be released uncut with the japanese/subs...

None of the above titles are any that I really care to see.

AI can have some pretty funny ideas... I ONLY watched Akira because they raved on about it for about 5 issues, and I didn't even find it as good as they made it out to be :/

I know over a year ago their pics were quite different, including things like Sailor Stars and stuff in it... of course some of their picks like Hikaru no Go and One Piece have already been made
